Brisbane are seriously beyond dumb if they dont let him get traded, they will literally get nothing at all if they let him go into the PSD, not a great look for the club since they are not letting players go that don't want to be there.

But we're not going to get a first rounder for either of those players, and we're not going to trade a player plus two first rounders for someone who was dropped from the team that finished 17th multiple times this year and they themselves were only a first round pick 2 years ago. Probably slightly overs as I have us finishing 7~10th again... Pick 15 would be fair but I don't see us hitting top 4. Furthermore we'll likely be overloaded with second round selections this year after losing Seedsman/Freeman/Kennedy and I don't see us wanting to make that many selections in the draft.

Brisbane are trying to beat their chests and appear tough but watch the AFLPA and AFL come down on them if they try to go through with refusing to accept a reasonable trade for an uncontracted player. When (not if) Collingwood put forward a "fair and reasonable deal" the AFL and AFLPA will get involved if Brisbane refuse to consider any such deal.

After a disastrous period for the AFL, the threat of further court action by Aish and his management for "restraint of trade" would be the last thing Gillon McLaughlin will be wanting to face.
