They're Richmond lite.
What's the average North crowd?
I have the feeling Aish has a bit of an ego, which isn't a bad thing in any performer, and wants to be in front of the biggest audience week in, week out.
The Pies can deliver that.

I was only having a bit of return serving at those having a shot at me.
It's called "The Internet".
And it can be fun if you don't take it to seriously.
You accuse me of "denigrating fellow supporters". Have you read the thread?
I couldn't believe the defence of the Bali trip. It was like some of the posters were Pendles relatives, or at least they thought they were.
Good fun. And an absolute riot to read!
Yeah. You're a funster.

Has he said that himself? Or is it because of the name it's assumed?

Regardless he knows his stuff.

He has and on top has said he is a pie supporter and likes to shoot the breeze like us all. Wisbey is a freelance recruiter and Pyeman is a recruiter for an opposition club but is a pie supporter too. All have confirmed Scout is who he says he is.

Doesn't ever reveal anything sensitive or detrimental to our trade or draft positions.

"Collingwood's pick 26 is at the centre of the deal that will see Brisbane relinquish James Aish to the Magpies

At least three clubs are chasing the round two selection, which the Lions are likely to on-trade for one of the established senior players they are interested in securing.

Carlton's Tom Bell has already indicated his desire to become a Lion, while North Melbourne midfielder Ryan Bastinac and Richmond defender David Astbury visited the club last week.

The Lions' preference has been to move Aish to North for Bastinac and the Roos have pushed hard for him, but Aish's manager Liam Pickering reiterated on Saturday that the youngster wanted only to play for Collingwood.

It is understood Brisbane have cooled on Astbury, who now appears less likely than Bell or Bastinac to join the club.

If that is the case it will mean the Tigers have to examine other ways to get a draft pick high enough to satisfy Carlton for Chris Yarran.

Brisbane already holds picks 17 and 21, and has softened their stance on trading Aish given the club will be able to replace him with a ready-to-go player rather than a new draftee.

The Lions must also ensure they finish they trade period with picks placed high enough that they will be able to match bids for Lions Academy pair Eric Hipwood and Ben Keays.

The club could go into deficit if they choose to, but have another highly regarded academy player in Jacob Allison on the way next year.

The Magpies are also close to closing deals for Jeremy Howe and Adam Treloar, who it emerged over the weekend had organised his own groin surgery.

It is understood Treloar did not have a proper exit interview

end-of-season medical assessment after informing the Giants, who

did not know about his operation, that he wanted to be traded.

There has been no suggestion Collingwood paid for the surgery, though that question is expected to be asked by the AFL once the trade is complete if not before.

There is nothing against that under AFL rules, but if it was the case the club in question would have to include the money in their total player payments allowance.

The Treloar deal could be lodged on Monday if not before, and will see the Magpies hand over two first round selections but get a pick back from the Giants.

The finer details of the deal were still being worked through on Saturday as were elements of Howe's move to Collingwood."

possibly but at his time in Brisbane he was a fairly modest, well mannered lad albeit of an "old head" as they say. He liked to hang around the older players at the club instead of his peers. I think his move is equally motivated with his off field work. He done a lot of humanitarian stuff and helping refugees/immigrants etc. getting them involved in footy. I think he kinda struggled to get recognition/exposure up here in Brisbane for that kinda work and wanted a higher profile so naturally he wants to play for the biggest band wagoner club in Australia.

I thought Hawthorn weren't going for him?

If he wanted bandwagoner he'd be staying up there. How's that membership by the way?

Pies supporters have always stuck through thick and thin. Biggest club is where you should have ended it.

Treloar groin surgery ? Sigh, add another injury prone player to our list. What a joke ! Should be picking up guys like boomer Harvey with bodies of steel. Another failure from Derek Hine.

(This post was total sarcasm)

North wouldn't entertain a trade for Boomer, they need him for the next 10 years or so.

Thanks. A good Samaritan in short? And given that he knocked back a higher offer from Norf, not too fussed about earthly matters. He will fit in well with some of our group then.

How's trade week and free agency working out for you? How's the matching of FA bids and no trading stance working out?

Appears you've done a fair bit of pissing into the wind.

If he wants to play in front of crowds, he can go to Collingwood. If he wants to play finals, he can play for North.

I think Collingwood's list is developing very nicely and the club should play a lot of finals over the next decade.

North look OK for the next few seasons but not so sure after that. I think Pies will move past them by 2017.
