Discussion AJL Finals-Week 1 (Qual/Elim)

I have decided to post this on the main board rather then the Polls/Comps sub-board because last weeks AJL poll struggled to get 20 voters and I think the lack of traffic through that board was a contributing factor.


You can ask to have a vote changed if you make a mistske.
If you accidentally vote for both of the options in the match up, you can post and say which option you actually vote for, if you don’t do this I will take away both vote from the match up.

Crap!! I accidently put Collingwood in the poll questions instead of Carlton. Please just ignore that and if you think Carlton is better, vote for Collingwood.

Port-Just better in every way.
Melbourne-Same as above.
North-Really like it.
Richmond-Awesome jumper with black shorts.

Port - Overall better.
Melbourne - Carlton's jumper is a great traditional jumper but this clash could do without the side panels.
North Melbourne - How to ruin a jumper; add a cartoony animal head. It worked for Brisbane too.
Richmond - I prefer Dark jumpers to light, they make the players look strong.

EDIT: Huh. Since we both voted for the same thing, it's 2-0 for all four matchups. Looks kind of funny, but it'll change soon.

North- much better with the white shorts than blue imo
richmond- tough one, i really like the cats with white shorts, but the tiges have a ripper

Fremantle - Port's guernsey is good, but way overhyped
Dees - Collingwoods stripes are crap and i dont like carltons clash either
Dogs - Royal Blue beat Royal Blue
Tigers - Best in the comp

Port- Love this jumper, funny how port have gone from having horrible jumpers to some of the best.
Melbourne- Classic design, would have been closer if Carlton were in navy
Bulldogs- royal blue almost always wins for me.
Richmond- I'm biased but I love our jumper especially since we added the sash on the back a few years ago.

Port - no contest. Freo's kit sucks in pretty much every way.
Dees - sharp, clean, looks good.
Dogs - I prefer the Roos in white shorts than blue, but the all-blue Dogs win out. The bulldog on the front doesn't bother me.
Tiges - same reason as Melbourne.

Devastated Hawthorn didn't make it either. *sniff*

Port-A hard choice but I prefer dark jumpers to light jumpers so Port wins
Melbourne Carlton's jumpers have always seemed too boring for me. And the white version makes it even worse.
North- Another hard choice, I don't like the bulldogs logo but I don't like X-blades version of the North jumper. I'll go for North just because their jumper normally looks much better.
Richmond- It may be a rip off of Essendon's but it's still good.

Port Adelaide beats Dockers clash
Melbourne classic beats navy whites
Western Bulldogs looks more "complete" than the Roos
Nothing ever beats Richmond. Geelong hoops = FAT AND UGLY.

Bulldogs jumper would win more votes if it didn't have a dog head on it. We KNOW you're the Bulldogs, after 70 years we don't need to be reminded so often.

Crap fabric, unbalanced logos, blue doesn't seem as saturated. The reebok one just seemed a lot nicer.

Purple just looks odd on any sports uniform (including the Lakers) to me, and I'm not a fan of the anchor.
