All the best to Alan, it's a nasty incident but may you learn and grow and keep on doing what you do for the black and white. xx twoforjoy

I thought it was a disgrace todays herald Sun, imaging been Didak or part of his family and seeing a headline like that. To link his chance meeting with the CBD shootings has turned this whole situation into a farce.
Did anyone hear Robert Walls comments at halftime of tonights coverage, he basically accused Didak of knowing who Hudson was, and that Didak associates with known criminals. Micky Christian had a go at him for even suggesting that. Walls is just a Carlton tosser, who has a deep seated hatred for Collingwood.
Not sure how Did's will get his head around this. I wish him all the best tomorrow and l hope he can play a decent game, and be part of a winning team to help ease some of the hurt he must be going through right now.

I've stayed out of all this until now. All I will say is that Alan Didak is my favourite player. He may be troubled, he may keep bad company, he may make bad decisions. Lord knows none of us are perfect either. The only difference is that our indiscretions and brushes with the law usually don't end up on the front pages.

Good luck this weekend Alan. Give us something to cheer about. I am a one-eyed supporter with more passion for this club than I know what to do with. I don't care what people say. As long as you wear the black and white vertical stripes, I'll be cheering the loudest.

Well said, I couldn't agree more. My favourite player is Alan Didak and (today) I will be cheering him on more than ever before. It is not easy to face tough challenges alone at the best of times, let alone include others around you to support with it. I might add he needs all the support he can get right now.
His ex-girlfriend, Cassie Lane, defended him.
If she can, I think anybody can.

Been a bit out of the loop for the past few days so only just catching up with the didak saga.

I feel for the guy, obviously wrong place wrong time, etc etc etc and he has absolutely been crucified. I hate to see what happens if he actually did break the law. I hope Didak u do well today mate as i always do but just especially to stick it to those hypocrits and wanna be saints who are so easy to shoot u while ur down yet are no where to be seen when ur doing good work! Good Luck Didak!!!

Hey what i hoped with this thread was that somehow we could get across to Alan that there are people out here in the public that do support him and not just idiots from the moral police.

My intent was (if it possible) for someone in the know to pass these along to him so is there any chance that any of you could do that?? Maybe if you know someone who knows someone or even if u just saw him at training.

Of course we had to have trolls in here but the majority has been fantastic. Even some from opposition supporters.

Good luck today Alan. Forget about what's happening and shove it up your critics on the ground...:thumbsu::)

Alan you have my full support. You did yourself proud today, you did what you do best and showed a few people what you are made of True Grit.
I was so proud today to be a Collingwood Supporter the standing ovation you recieved when you kicked the goals made the hair stand up on the back of my neck.
Well Done Alan and my thoughts are with you.

brown beat him convincingly got his goals easily thanks to good work up play he has brang the game in to dirrepute yet collingwood have done there usual double standards

Why are those morons allowed to troll on this board? Surely a red card or 2 is warranted for the crap being posted on our board the last week

Mate, just because people have different opinions to you does not mean they are trolling or posting crap!
For the record, I couldn't care less what Didak does or doesn't do but what I think has upset alot of opposition supporters is the hypocrisy from Collingwood. Didn't you have a few players outed for minor discretions earlier in the season? Spare a thought for those guys. What message do you think Collingwood is sending. It depends who you are as to what your punishment is.
This cannot be good for Collingwood as a group. What does it do for the morale? It sends the wrong message.
Last year when Hodge was late for training the day after his 21st because he was on the turps, I thought Clarkson was being ridiculous. How can you drop our best player? You only turn 21 once! Give the kid a break! He did anyway. He made a stand and now 12 months later I have the upmost respect for the bloke for doing so. He has instilled values and not one person is bigger than the club. Regardless of whether or not Didak is associating with "undesirables" he was out extremely late in the middle of a footy season intoxicated. Whilst many have said he did not break any team rules and does not deserve punishment, I would be a little concerned being a "Maggie" fan that this is deemed as being acceptable behaviour from a senior player.
I think Collingwood have handled this poorly. I think the media are parasites!!

The posts were deleted and the posters carded for what I was referring to, they were trolls

I really dont know how many times the issue has been addressed in reference to the earlier incident, but if you need it spelt out again then fine

Mick got on the team bus and said no one is to leave the hotel, they did, that was a clear, black and white direction that could not be intepreted any other way and they broke it, so suspension

Alan Didak went out like the rest of the team for a night of fun with the blessings of the club as it was the beginning of their mid season break. He did not do anything illegal, did not break any team rules, did not get into any fights, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Hodge was late for training, it affected his football therefore of course he was suspended, Didak obviously made the plane the next day so it did not affect his duties for the CFC and therefore he escapes penalty, at a later stage if more emerges then he may cop something, he has already been put on notice and got tougher restrictions in his contract than Ben Cousins, but as he didnt break any laws then there is no reason to penalise him here but put in place restrictions so he doesnt cross the line as he has come close on a few occassions

If people cant see the difference between Didak being witness to something in a drunken state on his break and players breaking clear team rules such as not leaving hotels or showing up late and hungover to training then there is something wrong with you or you just hate Didak

BTW would most Hawks fans even care if we didnt play them this week? I would guess probably not, had to laugh at the head of the cheersquad abusing the decision :p

Having a few drinks is one thing. Being that drunk that you don't know what is happening and going on around you is another. Each to their own opinion, let's face it that's what these forums are about. I wouldn't mind betting Malthouse won't be giving the players the same freedom again though.
For the record, I don't think he made all that much difference today. Brownie towelled him up. Your youngsters on the other hand, were bloody awesome.
Yes, I would still have the same views whether you played us or not. I would still have the same views if it was one of our own.

Funny how everyone is saying "wrong place wrong time" etc etc. Police came out and said they are pretty certain his hole story is crap (and it sounds it too) and he has known the HA for almost a year.

If he isnt lying, then perhaps he may have my sympathy and support he made a bad decision whilst drunk. He does need to give up the bottle though as this isnt the first bad decision, obviously one who cannot hold is alky.

But if he is lying then I hope he gets what is coming to him, including an arrest and a day in court.

Almost a year now? Wow it gets longer every day, by this time next week they will be lifelong friends

- This is really the key. If this was the first time he had done something stupid drunk then you can forgive. But when it is just the same old crap over and over you have to take a stand somewhere.

I liked how Geelong handled SJ this year. We had handled this type of thing very badly in the past but laid down the law this time.

Eddies comments of "we take side by side we stick together literally down at Collingwood" (loose quote) was a good call. If that is true then he should be suspended and dealt with harshly. Didak obviously cant hold his alcohol and is an alcoholic (due to the fact that he is binge drinking until he cant make rational decisions. I mean who meets a bikey at a strip club, drinks with him then goes home with him. Gay, stupid or both?

I support Didak 100%.

Other clubs mind your own business.

I particularly get annoyed when Hawks fans (who have been MIA for the last seven Years) come out with their self-righteous crap.

Didak has learnt his lesson give him a chance to redeem himself.

How?

Look they shouldnt act until they find out the full story from the police investigating the matter. But he should be reprimanded and if it turns out he lied, which right now the police have reported he has, then he should be suspended or at very least be on a zero tolerance program.

According to the police 9 months.

No they haven't.

No they haven't.

On SEN today there was talk about Didak and that it had been a Collingwood player that had contacted the police about Didak after Didak had been bragging about his experience with Hudson.

Dunno if this is now the confirmed story or where it came from but it sounds like there is a bit more to come out yet.

Good to back your player but you might want to keep an ear out for the rest of the story.

What's this got to do with the police saying his story is crap. This hasn't happened to my knowledge.

SEN's coverage of this event has been appalling, we can only go, and should only go by the facts, not even what some Sherlock Holmes wannabe from the Tabloid Sun comes up with.

Alan has my full support, not only because he is my favourite player but because he has shown he is human and can make mistakes.

Why are people from other clubs coming onto the Collingwood board entering into the thread titled "Alan Didak support thread" and having a go at him. You don't know all the facts, you dont know what happened that night, you don't know how long they have known eachother and basically you have no reason to give a damn. In acctual fact the only people that know what happened are the people that were there and the police, don't make up things about what the police have supposedly said because you will be found out as a liar.

If you want to have a go at him go onto one of the other 100s of threads on the subject but this thread is one for supporters to show there support to our star player.

If a Collingwood player has done that i will be extremly disappointed and hope that person is delisted.
