Chapman is a heaps better player then didak. It's a silly post.

Both capable of playing in the midfield but spend a lot of time forward, I would have to say Didak is better because he has ability to get goals from nowhere.. Chapman is a little bit harder at the ball but overall Dids is a better player for mine.

No it's not... both are proven finals performers

What separates them is that Chapman is able to perform most of Didak's at a similar level, but also is much harder at the contest at the same time.

Chapman is one of the most complete footballers in the game:

Very strong over head, sublime skills, extremely physical and hard at it, an amazing combination of strength and balance, X factor, Brilliant midfield or forward. Big game player.

Didak has about half those points. Still a brilliant player, but not a close comparison in my book.

Totally agree Hawk Chappy is a much harder player than Dids plus plays a lot taller than he is, strong mark nearly a complete package

I agree a Johnson/Didak comparison would have made more sense. Anyway, I would have taken Didak last year over Chappy, but Chapman's career has been superior overall. Didak reminds me of a soccer player, while Chapman is a footballer in every sense of the word.

Jesus I hate polls with Alan didak in them. He wouldn't win one against Eddie Betts, let alone just about everyone's favourite opposition player. Actually for me Chapman is second behind Bartel.

Disagree about Bartel better than Chappy, Bartel has the goods as does Johnno but at times Chappy is the heart and soul of the Cats, does more grunt work and 1%ers than people give him credit for.

Two totally different players junk poll.

That said though Chappy's the better all round footballer by a fair way.

If I wanted someone to kick a goal for my life I'd pick Didak

BUT

If I wanted someone to beat an opponent one on one in a tight hard fought physical contest I'd pick Chappy by a mile.

Chapman has kicked the winning goal in a Grand Final, has one Norm Smith medal to his name and if there was any justice he'd have two from the 119 Grand Final as well. Get back to us when Didak has a finals record like that to his name.

I'm talking overall, not just set shots Chappy is by far the more consistent and harder at the contest, as you say a good set shot and a more than serviceable shot on the run, given that he isn't under pressure. Didak's one clear and consistent advantage is his creative kicking.

No doubt Chapman's finals record is great, Didak kicked us into a prelim in 03 & was BOG in the extra time game against WCE also... has performed in multiple other finals also
