Added to his performance on coal during the last election campaign ... lead in the saddlebag?
I think Albo is a corporate sellout, but he at least has some level of charisma that Shorten so conspicuously lacked. Since the nation showed last election that they care more for personality and salesmanship than substance in policy, this automatically makes him a better prospect than Shorten, for now.
Albo just has to sit back and wait for Snap back

I didnt expect much and had other hopes, didnt think he or Chalmers were up to it. But boy was he a disappointment before the crisis.
At present though, Im not going to throw stones. Not much he can do except support the states and medical advice, advocate for more stimulus to be directed at the most needy and provide a check on government slipperiness when it comes to siphoning away discretionary funds to big business.
He seems to be doing an OK job in this regard. McManus though has absolutely been out in front of protecting the IR framework and demanding better compensation for the unemployed and casual workers.

Your keep crying like a bitch about Murdoch, but at least his rags and TV channels aren't funded by the tax payer. They're not required by law to be balanced like the ABC are, yet they still manage to be more balanced anyway, not that a political prostitute like yourself would know.
