Lol at Starick claiming the Crows have 661K supporters. Must be counting the Adolf Hitler e-memberships.

Roy Morgan reckoning - they always have Sydney Swans with the most supporters. They probably use simple extrapolation from a sampling of a few hundred in each state.

The Brompton redevelopment and the decision on which bid to accept for the Renewal SA land has absolutely nothin to do with the Port Adelaide Football Club. Nothing.

But count how many times PAFC is referenced in this Advertiser article about the Crows bid missing out and look at how the Advertiser editor equates SA's interests aligning with the Crows.:

With Olsen involved it’s probably all a decoy whilst they sure up the Adelaide Oval…

Thebarton with the new underpass starting at their front door should be interesting to access…

Lol the media having apoplexy over all this.
The outrage.
The kick in the teeth to the privileged and entitled elite.w

BTW, where was this support for the PAFC redevelopment?

5CamryAA asking Malinauskas if he will reverse the decision if they gain office, as a contract is unlikely to be signed by election day o_O:rolleyes:

Can see this going allthe way to the Privy Council in London :oops:

Pete's a Port man, and he's campaigned hard against wasteful spending on sports, so good luck with that.

Roy & HG would have more accurate figures than Roy Morgan

The Crows latest development fail has got the full front page and middle page spreads in the Advertiser. Something the Alberton Oval precinct redevelopment, something that IS happening, never received.

And because this is an issue that is so critical to our state it also got the full treatment on ABC Adelaide radio this morning. Their weekly 15 minute 'spin cycle' segment where news reporters gather to discuss major topics of the week devoted the bulk of their time to it.

Available here from about the the 2:30:00 mark.

The Advertiser editor is over-egging the pudding in an attempt to make it sound 'tongue in cheek' but many a true word…

He also ignores the fact as an Ambassador he is Victorian.
Yep

Indaily had this to say

In May last year, the club announced it had joined forces with Melbourne developer Pelligra to pitch a new clubroom, office and housing development for the gasworks site.

At the time, it was reported that the Crows had proposed purchasing the land from the government for a small fee, under the condition that it would cover the costs of remediation and upkeep.

Sooo a small fee (how small? no-one will say) :tearsofjoy: Then the taxpayer picks up the cost of remediating the toxic land. Phowar whadda deal.

Here's a bowl of "small fees"

Yeah how dare the government choose the bid that:

  • offered more money
  • offered tangible benefits to the community, not just the Crows
  • will clear the site contamination rather than slapping an oval on top of it

Yet when we propose a redevelopment on our own turf which offers countless benefits to the community, you'd think we proposed to store nuclear waste on Alberton Oval. F**k me.

Apparently the Crows Victorian based developer has another secret site in mind……

It's Olsen, there would always be something else happening, maybe this was a smokescreen.

I doubt they want top be at Thebby......

'

Mystery sites in the mix for Crows

The developer working to find a new home for the Adelaide Crows has revealed Thebarton Oval isn’t the only option being considered.'

Damn you Murdoch, can't get passed the firewall, Mozilla no longer works....
