The female lead is a weak lead (the cop) she looks like shes just out of high school.l have nothing against female leads glen close,Helen mirren etc are strong leads.l feel this show needs a another strong lead because sam "red meat" neil cant carry the show.

Flying back from Perth one night last week and watched the final 3 episodes on my iPad. Was kind of stuck. It hasn't improved, in my opinion. Sam Neill is just shouting or scowling or pulling guns. The fat kid from Lost is still carrying that shoulder bag around in every scene. And the cliches just keep chalking up for the female lead. What has got me more than a little bemused is the sheer shallowness of the whole thing plus the extraordinarily bad acting from two of the leads.

I don't think Fringe started as bad as alcatraz, but yeah it picked up

at least with Fringe (case wise) it was more a matter of WTF???, thats out there, there was heaps more science and at least an attempt to explain what had happened

Alcatraz is just meh, guy comes back, commits the exact same crime, GPS that shit and figure out where his next target will be, last 5 seconds drop a hint about the arc........."next time on Alcatraz"....
 
So end verdict after S01?

Having been to SF-Alcatraz, to get to the Rock is a bit of effort...but how did these crime fighters quickly get there all the time.

I didnt get how some of the 63'ers came out of 1963 and in some Eps were using 2012 ideas and technology.

Thought the Warden was great.

Has not been renewed for a second series as of today.
 
Never liked the lead actress in her role and Sam Neill was as cardboard as they come. Hurley's range appears to be...Hurley. Had potential, but...

No point in watching US television until it's first season is over these days. Wait until it's been renewed, otherwise you are always left with no ending...
 
It was rubbish. That's what they get for trying to leave so much 'up their sleeve' for future seasons. They treated the audience with contempt and got their just rewards.

This is why I stopped watching after about 4-5 episodes. It just seemed like it was going to be the same damn thing over and over.
