If you hover or click the Alerts Dropdown (also called a Pop-up in this software) you may see that all alerts are instantly marked read.
This is annoying as you then don't know what you haven't read.
Check your Preferences - https://www.bigfooty.com/forum/account/preferences
You have most likely un-ticked the option:
Alerts pop-up skips mark read
Do not mark alerts as read when viewing the alerts pop-up
The Fix
Tick the "Alerts pop-up skips mark read" option.
Then Save the change.
Yes - this has been staring us all right in the face for weeks.
