It's up to the club to keep their players happy. The compo distorts the entire system and means it gets gamed. The only reason Lynch can get to a powerhouse is because of the compo pick dude.
Not true at all.

Lynch wanted success and didn't see that at Gold Coast. He took less to go to Richmond.

Unless you want a club like Suns to fold, we need compo with free agency.

If the Suns didn't get pick 3 for him they would have matched and Richmond would not have the assets to trade for him mate. So system would have worked as intended there. The compo pick distorts the system.

Any chance we`ve offered him a reasonable 1 year deal with clauses for a 2nd and 3rd?

I can't see a 350k one year getting compo but a 450k one year turning into 350k per year over 3 years yes would work.

He may have incentives built in.
Presumably the salary cap has to allow for the worst case i.e, highest income he could earn.

I don't think he considers tackling or pressure as part of the game.
It is one of the reasons I've been dubious about his recruiting. And I remain so. The model to follow is clear, looking at the last 3 premiers and this year's losing GFinalist: fanatical pressure in the forward half. Fasolo does not deliver it.
He does have one thing in his favour: he is a better shot at goal than Levi.

My point still stands how is this all worked out 2 same age player with similar contracts but white was prior to the salary cap increase and fasolo after
If worked out on percentage white would have been on a higher salary
Agree. I don’t understand it either.

I would try Faz in the goal square where he may get off defensive duties. Afterall, He has the potential to kick 50 if he is the focal point and I think he will thrive as that. I remember when he first began at Collingwood, he worked his way into a Premiership side and Malthouse gave him the go-ahead if he had the ball inside 50. On his day he is a match-winner and a dead eye. Is a weapon from 60 as well. Look forward to seeing how he goes. Will slot in at Carlton well

I rate the bloke, I think the change of scenery will do him good, he's a good player. Needs to get his head right and if you do you'll have a real X-Factor type player at the Blues.
Has a heap of talent, if he can get his body right and his work ethic is where it needs to be, he'll be a good pickup.
Always seemed good fella, Fas Fresh, hope he goes well with the Blues and reckon he'll benefit from the change in scenery.
