Burke name closes in on historic Moorabbin return
The Burke name could be back at Moorabbin as soon as next season as Alice Burke continues her rapid rise to become the club's first father-daughter selection.

The daughter of St Kilda legend Nathan Burke today committed to the Saints where her father etched his name into the record books.
Burke, who will wear the famous No. 3 guernsey, boasts toughness and skill on both sides of the body, backed up with consecutive best-and-fairest's for Sandringham Dragons.

Will leave this here for a few days, thought it deserved a bit more attention.

Brilliant news. Of course, considering our luck with procreation over the last 20 years, we should just about have an entire team of father daughter picks.

Thankfully it's now worth it.

Always liked Burkey, had his number on my jumper growing up, was just a hard nut at it and his endeavour was inspiring.

Great to see Alice chose the skill route instead, even if soccer bores me having two skills at national level in sports is rather impressive.
