Just played it online then, tested it and it's still uncensored.
360 version.

well in my defense i did say it was a contender. what about 'surprise packet'? :p

ahhh then there is Dead Space 2 and BioShock 2 to come out. Shame the multiplayer in those 2 games will be dead within a week.

Big 2010 coming up, shame i'll be overseas for a majority of it.

What console are you playing on Jabso? 360 or PS3?

If 360 add me (Gamertag is schmuttt), I'll be playing the demo later tonight. Already played a few games and teared up the n00bs who never played it on PC. The thing is you can end up in a 1v1 because there aren't many people searching, I was a marine against an alien and made a kid rage quit :D .

Definitely worth the download Anthony, FFA is the worst gametype they'll have on offer IMO so if you like it it is worth the buy.

Now I remember why I hate how overpowered Predator weapons can be, so frustrating.
 
a few fps players on my list downloaded it and i asked them what it was like and they said it was pretty good

Yep, I downloaded it the other night and I've been playing it on and off with friends and I have to say it's definitely looking good. The FFA gametype doesn't really do it justice though, because some people like to ruin the fun and team up.

I've noticed that most people do go for the trophy kills, so watching your back is a must, and that playing as a human totally freaks me out. But yeah, it does take a while to get into a game, but at least it doesn't have the problems MW2 has where it splits your party up completely and sends you to different games.
 
Saw that Kerrby. Thankfully I've got a mate who has pre-ordered it so I can play it at his place before I decide it is worth buying. They will have been a good judge of the single player but I find it hard you can give a proper opinion on multiplayer when they've probably played it for only a few days.

Ok, so I just had a go at this online and it is surprisingly fun.

I was the Alien and had a great time running around, climbing on walls and stuff. Was really confusing through when I was transitioning between floor to wall to roof and I had no idea how or if I could jump straight down (which at one point I wanted to do as a marine ran right underneath me).

I really like the emphasis on melee combat, offers a real different variety in FPS gaming and can offer cool strategy in having to stealth around a bit.

Even though I had no real idea what I was doing for the most part it was still a fun enough game, I ended up finishing 2nd with 14 kills I think it was, with the winner on 20 (who was a Predator).

It's a bit clunky and not overly responsive at times, but it's still a fun enough game to play. And the trophy kills are really cool, granted though, they're a little easy to pull off.

Wouldn't mind checking out the different types, I have to think that the marine would quite easily be the worst as you don't get many perks. Aliens see through walls and can move REALLY fast and I'd imagine you get something wicked with the Predator. Plus the FPS controls and movement doesn't really look like they suit to an actual shooter.
 
^ Agreed. Definitely don't count the game out just yet. That's a shocking review without much substance so definitely give the demo a try and check out some later reviews when they come out.
 
I don't really care much reviews to be honest. Half the games that are reviewed i reckon give kickbacks for decent reviews. Who knows what goes on.

Would anyone listen to David Stratton before deciding on what movie to watch? Don't thinkso. :p

This is a bit of an issue I found. I like playing with the alien and don't have much trouble moving around the map, but when marines/predators pass under you it is very frustrating as you want to perform a stealth kill but for some reason sometimes the button doesn't come up.

Marine is good mate, the game is actually pretty well balanced. In the full game the Marin will have the strongest ranged weapons. I'm assuming the 'Refinery' map is the one used on the demo for the PS3? If so that map doesn't suit aliens IMO, it is more for Predators and Marines. With the marine you get the motion tracker which makes it nigh on impossible to sneak up on a good marine player unless you camp and stand still on a wall or something.

The problem with Refinery is the Predator can camp in the big room with the beams across the roof with the plasma cannon and just destroy everyone. I won a 8 player FFA last night with 27 kills (Best streak of 11) and the next best was 8 kills. All I did was camp with the plasma cannon.

THat review is a bit short but I can see why this game could be bad. Here's hoping it isn't.
