Aliir Aliir VS Harris Andrews

Both promising young defenders. Sydney supporter who I'm mates with reckons Aliir is better, I think he's completely. I'd have Andrews behind Weitering as the best U21 KPD's. Thoughts on who is better now and in 5 years.

Aliir is playing in a possible premiership winning defense, Andrews is trying to play key position in a side that just recorded the worst Scores Against record since...GWS first season I think? How far either of them go will be directly impacted by how long Sydney can sustain their backline and how fast Brisbane can improve.

But at this stage, Aliir would be 'better' but after 5 years they should be on par.

Haven't seen much of Andrews but have loved Aliirs work. Kicks it beautifully and reads the play very well

but in all seriousness i would take allir just cause i haven't seen too much of andrews this season and i have been impressed by allir this year. Might be different next year. one to keep an eye out for sure.

The guy that's two years younger, yet has played quality footy at AFL level for twice as many seasons as Aliir. That guy.

Still only 19 and has played close to 40 games. While I wasn't a great Fletcher fan, I think Andrews is a very similar style of defender. He just harasses his opponent so well without getting a free kick called against him and he usually always gets a fist in while also being a great intercept marker.

I don't think you could ask for a better 200cm defender at his age.

I like Aliir, but I don't see the same potential as what Andrews has.

Never heard of Andrews, will keep an eye on him.

Aliir looks really mobile and promising from the handful of games Ive seen, doing well and I hope Chol develops into a similar player.
