Whats wrong with parents these days? My son had of done that, he would have got an immediate clip across the ear and no security would have been needed, I would have thrown him out myself, camera or no camera.

ROAR!Normally Sydney crowds are super respectful and funny. Definitely a victorian
This was cooked. Was punished harder for being a pies fan.Collingwood fan copped a 12 month ban for touching a West Coast player in a non threatening way.
Agree with this.I wouldn't ban the kid from attending games at all just get him to apologise to Aliir and move on, I'd feel differently if it was a 30 year old bogan but a kid gets a chance from me I doubt he'll ever do it again.

And then your the one being plastered all over the media/footy shows as the bad guy.Whats wrong with parents these days? My son had of done that, he would have got an immediate clip across the ear and no security would have been needed, I would have thrown him out myself, camera or no camera.
I agree, but the AFL has regularly set precedence in this area.I highly doubt he ended up in a police cell. I would say that’s a concoction by someone. Good talking to and apology to the player concerned, and that should be the end of the matter.
If true a bit over the top.

That was my view on first watch too. Not so sure second time around. It actually looks like it slips out of his hand and was possibly unintentional. Either that or the kid is iincredibly unco.
Ban him from sitting near the fence for a year. He can sit up the back - still gets to go, lesson learnt.I wouldn't ban the kid from attending games at all just get him to apologise to Aliir and move on, I'd feel differently if it was a 30 year old bogan but a kid gets a chance from me I doubt he'll ever do it again.
Probably the shovel they use to dig themselves out of the predicament of needing to look firm but not so firm as to look hypocritical in light of other recent decisions. What’s a “youth caution”
