Two Capitol Police officers who battled the mob of Donald Trump supporters that stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 are suing the former president for the physical and emotional injuries they say they suffered in the attacks.

In a federal suit filed Tuesday in D.C., Officers James Blassingame and Sidney Hemby allege that for months, Trump rallied the insurrectionists with baseless election fraud claims that eventually culminated in the breach of the Capitol that left five dead, including a Capitol Police officer

A society where everything is measured against money.... it's interesting that there are many critics of Karl Marx's economic determinism as being too simplistic....and yet every move we make these days seems to be more about the cash.

You do know that Australia is fast becoming the suing capitol of the world?
From American fast food, to American music, to American language we parrot everything they do.
Legal action being the latest.

jt seems that there will be moves this week to reinstate trump as president..... just as the revered posters on this thread predicted earlier this year. Its been a long time coming but finally the forces of Q have prevailed.... the lizard shape shifting baby eating paedophiles will held accountable..

Tomorrow is the 13th of August and Trump followers think he will be back to being President again.:D
He may very well win the next election.
Already there is heavy Republican moves to alter the ability to vote in America.
They tried last election to keep voters from the polls, on very short notice. Now they have four years and they are using every one of those to try to gerrymander the vote.
And I have no doubt Americans will fall for this sleight of hand.

Yep, he'll get in just around the time China tries taking Taiwan and Twitler will initiate WW3.

Another rotten deal by the (not so) Great Deal Maker.
Deal with the Taliban only two conditions, one of which was to work with the current government who weren't at the table whilst he was making the deal.

The one problem is the trumpists see Biden in power so its all his fault. No point is blaming anyone, this is 3 years from the next election and will be long forgotten by then

You can't get mad at Trump, he's a delusional narcissist, and his target audience are either so ignorant or so angry they just don't see the s**t smear for what he is.

Strip all the scumbags!

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -A U.S. judge on Wednesday sanctioned Sidney Powell and other lawyers who sued in Michigan to overturn Democratic President Joe Biden's election victory over Donald Trump, and suggested they might deserve to lose their law licenses.

In a highly anticipated written ruling, U.S. District Judge Linda Parker in Detroit said the pro-Trump lawyers, including Powell and prominent litigator Lin Wood, should have investigated the Republican former president's voter fraud claims more carefully before filing what Parker called a "frivolous" lawsuit.

Parker, who dismissed the Michigan suit last December, formally requested that disciplinary bodies investigate whether the pro-Trump lawyers should have their law licenses revoked. The judge also ordered the lawyers to attend classes on the ethical and legal requirements for filing legal claims.

"This lawsuit represents a historic and profound abuse of the judicial process," Parker said in her decision, adding that the case "was never about fraud - it was about undermining the People's faith in our democracy and debasing the judicial process to do so."

The judge said Powell, Wood, and other lawyers who worked with them "have scorned their oath, flouted the rules, and attempted to undermine the integrity of the judiciary along the way."
