OK, yeah. But what has been released has some pretty direct language don't you agree? What could be in the missing parts that reverses what has been said?

Absolutely. In management speak, this thing was damning. I expected the CEO (since gone), Corcoran, and Reid to be definitely gone, and big questions to be answered re: Hird and Thompson. Even if Hird survives this mess, I think the Ziggy report makes it clear his authority gets stripped right back to coaching only, and nothing operational.

I suspect the stuff withheld is more directly related to the supp program, and to avoid a trial by media it was held back. I don't think its going to help management anymore, and will clarify for me if/how Hird and Thompson can retain their positions.

I'm a footy supporter. And an admin.

I'm pretty much impartial. The evidence that has seeped out of this is that Essendon and Hird are in hot water up to their necks and many, many Bombers supporters have their heads in the sand and are in for some huge shocks over the next few months.

The victims here are the players and supporters. People leading the club have let shonks and snake-oil salesmen in the door with little to no oversight, risking the players and the club, and are now fighting the repercussions of their own incredibly poor decisions. That fight, if successful, could see these practices infect the rest of the league.
you aren't impartial!! You're a Carlton supporter! It's in the contract that you aren't impartial on matters Essendon!

I never signed anything. As I've said many times my Grandmother was an Essendon supporter and I have many fond memories watching the game on Saturday on WIN TV, as my grandmother shouted abuse at the "useless bastards" who took the field each week. A tear wells up in my eye as I remember her near heart attack when I joyfully claimed Carlton as my team after the 82 grand final. Unfortunately she had passed away by 1999 or I would have yet another beautiful memory to add to those precious gems.

I did answer.

1. I don't know.
2. The reason I don't know is because it is not relevant to the outcome of the investigation. Its a stupid, miniscule point about as relevant as Dank scratching his nose or Dr Reid's missing letter.

You are not an expert. You are a fool. Only a fool would try to dispute people who have been intimately involved with a case for months on end.

To be honest you sound like one of those idiot 911 Truthers. Cling to ridiculous, miniscule points to validate an an existing opinion and completely overlook what the overwhelming rest of the evidence says.
I have a degree in biochemistry.
I have an Masters in Pharmacology.
I have an M.B.,B.S.
I am a specialist in field that heavily involves pharmacology.
I have been out in the workforce for 26 years.

If you are more of an expert than me about this then I commend you. By your writing, you seem like a high school drop out. I am sorry if I'm wrong.

I think I have the qualifications and have earned the respect to be able to state my opinions on these boards. I also feel that my opinion should carry some weight given my background.

Thank you.

Did I hear Hird come out today and ask for tolerance from the public? He also mentioned something about Essendon wanting to find out the truth!!

If essendon want us not to question their actions, then why has Essendon changed their story along the way from not taking a banned substance, to taking a substance not knowing it was banned, to claiming the banned substance shouldn't be banned because THEY consider it not PED.

And yet, Hird wants us to not question anything Essendon did, in spite of them changing the story on what they did!!!

Man. There are still a lot of head-in-the-sanders who think Essendon players will get done for AOD. Time to move on people.
What about thymosin? Any idea how Charters claim of supplying Beta 4 to Dank has been resolved. Seems like some pretty strong circumstantial evidence there.

It seems to me Hird and co have fallen into the rookie mindset of someone who has bought their first gym membership. So enamoured is he with early results, the noob lifter then discovers all these wonderful supplements on bodybuilding forums, and cannot resist "ZOMG I'm going to go sick on supplements and I'll be ripped by summer". What usually results is a period where he floods his system with stacks and expensive protein powder. You see these kids in gyms, and if you talk to them for any length of time, they will reveal they have discovered a supplement that is "like steroids buh natural bro".

Eventually the novelty wears off, and they scale their supplements down to the ones that really work. Usually these are the boring ones everyone else uses.

They must all be utterly embarrassed down there at windy hill. They have put their club at risk experimenting with pissant peptides like aod, when really there was no need.

I can tell you right now that I don't have my head in the sand. I know the ramifications involved and other Bomber supporters seem to be similar to me in that they refuse to abandon the club before ASADA have finished their thing. We are going to cop a big enough hit as it is. Why would we want to destabilise and crush our own club before the bloody thing is even finished? At this stage our club says wait for us to have our say. I'm sure as hell not going to do a anything rash based media hyperbole renowned for manipulating facts to serve its own agenda.
At this stage these 'victims' you speak of stand united behind our coaches and admin and that is enough to tell me I should stand by them...
You also stand on one side of the fence when you say that by fighting this it will infect the rest of the comp. it will do no such thing. No matter the outcome of this crap I can assure you that the AFL will put in place a policy and regulations that will make it very very difficult for this to ever happen again. And this might well be due to Essendon's openness and willingness to be investigated. Just a thought.

How many times do I have to tell you, your educated and experienced view is not welcome here.....
It makes everyone else feel dumb so they have to abuse you or try to belittle your credentials....

You're more than welcome to question their actions. What they are asking is, please wait until you are fully aware of the actions before questioning them.

Spoke to the parent of a kid who's a big chance to be drafted in 2015.

He says that if taken by Essendon he'll refuse to go and will inform his agent (when he gets one) to let all sides know.

Big deal? don't know. I'll be interested to see what players will do when the evidence is laid out for all to see.

The Bombers may have (knowingly) taken young men into an unsafe workplace and exposed them to risks that were avoidable.

The AFL (us) may be paying for Essendons negligence for a decade.

No matter the outcome of this crap I can assure you that the AFL will put in place a policy and regulations that will make it very very difficult for this to ever happen again. And this might well be due to Essendon's openness and willingness to be investigated. Just a thought.

....so, we should be thanking Essendon then for this ?

Respectable response.
Understandable too!

Some of us like asking questions which remain unanswered. Forums like this allow that to occur. People like myself can shed light on things for others as it may be their area of knowledge.

I know sometimes our questions may seem aggressive but all in all we are after that irresistible thing called the truth.

Let the discussion continue....

Given the governance report conducted by an Essendon supporter, for Essendon and partially released by Essendon addresses the matter of irresponsible governance and experimentation on players, this defies belief, and this alone has so very many non Essendon people wondering whats in the Kool Aid at Tullamarine.
