Goldsteins out of the team now.
No he's still in, they'll pick two ruckmen you'd think. Besides, missing games doesn't really hurt your chances. Playing poorly is worse for selection. If you're a Richmond player though, missing games seems to even help get you selected...

2 years ago rance was was with the of talia, mackenzie, frawley and taylor and hooker as the top defenders. now its safe to say he's easily the best. Tho i was pissed off when Mackenzie was overlooked that year.

Really? Most West Coast fans didn't seem too bothered.

Shuey should be in every team right now, is top ten in every B and F award I have seen for the year and top 5 in most.
not just yet. edging closer to it. I think whats costing him atm is that his goals and insie 50's are down from last year. As harsh as it sounds disposal number will also count. His averaging close to 26 touches and i would say that he will need to be around that mark by seasons end as well

He would be one of the first picked, look at any award and he is top ten. His stats aren't incredible but his impact is huge.

Two should be WA SOO
Betts identifies as a croweater and i think he has strong victorian links as well.

I agree but the harsh truth is that his number need to be good to stand out to the selectors over east. The only stat thats so far standing out is clearances for him. By seasons end if his is able to improve his disposal numbers and inside 50's and kick 20-25 goals, he will be selected. Love Shuey but one thing he doesnt do on a regular base is go over 30 touches. For most inside players they can rack 30 so easily. Not overly fussed on his disposal numbers ( because his an impact player) but that stat by season end will have a pretty big barring on his AA selection.

If he maintains his position in the AFLCA he will get selected as that would be a big factor for the selectors. Also if he polls as expected in the brownlow (4th in the predictor) that will also help him stand out in future seasons.
