That's harsh. Look at his stats he's in the top 30 easily. Probably top 20

I agree he isn't AA quality yet, but he's not far off the 40 man squad
Hannebery - Boak - Beams
Kennedy - Cothin - Ebert
Priddis - Gray - Vince
Gaff - Ward - Barlow
Pendlbury - Ablett - Mundy
Swan - Fyfe - Hodge
Ellis - Macrae - Deledio
Neale - Murphy - Cunnington
Mitchell - Masten - Rockliff
Martin - Hill - Selwood
Armitage - Jack -
Steven - Shuey
Mundy - Harvey
Goddard - Boyd
Treloar - McVeigh
Stanton - Jones
Lewis - Parker
Heppel - Smith
Dahlhaus - Thompson
Dangerfield - Sloane

That's just 50, I could've kept going there are many more. He's a good young player but that's all he is for now. He is no where near the elite of the competition left alone the all Australian squad

Hodge won't be Captain. He's pushing shit up hill to make it anyway but surely the latest discretion will completely rule him out of an Captaincy debate, even for Hawk fans.
If he makes it, and Murphy and Walker miss out, Hodge will be the captain for sure. If one of the other 2 makes it, he probably won't.

McPharlin is the best KPD in the AFL by a country mile. (While McKenzie is out injured)

Unbelievably underrated. Shame he has suffered so many injuries last few years as he really is a gun and if he played all games this year should be a shoe in over Rance.
Lol! West Coast supporters still don't get it re. Rance. McPharlin is a gun and has been for a long time. But Rance is one of the biggest locks in the team along with Fyfe and Kennedy. Best defender in the comp by a significant margin.

He's played 18 to Rance's 22, would be surprised if he even makes the squad of 40.

Hurley has had less goals kicked on him, won more one on ones, gets more of the ball and uses it better. Talia has played one more game than Hurley but was subbed off early in the third quarter in one of his games. Hurley has been better in every way.

Typical blind Victorians. he is a lock and in due time they will see this.
Well actually he isn't a "lock" at all. Regardless of how good his individual form has been, if the selectors choose to go with only one genuine small defender then Heath Shaw occupies that spot, plain and simple. I would happily see Laird given All- Australian honours but their is every chance he won't.

Their is simply no denying that Rance and Hurley have been the two best performed and most complete key defenders this season.

Doesn't make Talia any less of a gun, and he remains arguably the best pure "stopper" in the game, but the combination of influence both offensively and defensively those two have had has been superior.

Deledio needs to have an A+ final series to become a legitimate top class player. If he can do it in finals, everyone's tune will change.
He is a legitimate top class player, one player doesn't make a finals series, a team does.

He's played 2 finals and been oustanding in both matches.

So if Freo finish first and only have one player starting and one on the bench, does that make Ross the best coach?

I hate seeing heath shaw in peoples AA team, especially over matty boyd. Shaw is one of the biggest stat padders in the league. He always kicks to himself when kicking out and always begs for the ball for a useless kick up the line to a pack.

He's had a good year. First picked as a non-KPP back

Kennedy, Pendlebury, Gray etc have had better years than Murphy and NicNat.

I'm never a fan of picking 2nd rucks though.
