has been very good. rate him as one of the better lock down defenders. Those small forwards can rip games apart, so having someone to play on them is important.

My revised team:

Stratton Rance McGovern
Shaw Hurley Gibson
Danger Pendles Hanneberry
Breust Franklin Gunston
Betts Kennedy Elliott
Goldstein Mitchell Fyfe
Kennedy Hodge Cotchin I.Smith
Elliott out of contention currently. Has had a poor few weeks.

i was going to post that Smith and Elliott are borderline after bright starts.
I've just dropped McDonald for Rance in recent weeks.
I am weighing up another tall w/Bruce over Elliott. And Gaff over Smith.

I cannot see Jack Riewoldt missing out.
Easily his best season.
Bruce, Buddy, Kennedy all in competition. Latter two consistent, Bruce is having some big games. Along with Cameron.

I seem to recall an article a few years back saying the age of the full forward was over.
Boyd, Riewoldt, Bruce, Buddy, Daniher, Gunston, Kennedy, Cameron, Dixon, and Scache coming.

Think you might have a few too many Hawks in there. ;)

been reading a few posts regarding the ruck position and seeing Sandilands name appear alot.....how??
The guys literally cant mark the footy. he doesnt get any footy around the ground, doesnt do any follow up work after the ruck context and doesnt push forward or back.
Because his tapwork in the first 6-8 weeks was awesome. Good enough to make up for any other perceived shortcomings

However he has certainly gone backwards in the past month or so.

He can't be considered up with the real quality mids until he learns to hit a target. Gets the ball, runs fast and turns it over or kicks a point.
A lot of people would say the same about Dangerfield and Swan. Steven has been excellent this season (better than Dangerfield and Swan IMO), and is a real chance of making the team if he can keep up his current form.

Ben Stratton has now taken apart Elliot, Betts and Walters in the last month.

Should be in consideration, but doesn't score well in SuperCoach, so I expect people will continue to overlook just how good he is at locking down on a small forward.
Not rated outside of Hawthorn and can play tall aswell.

Natanui, although he doesnt dominate the stats sheet, lays tackles, pushes to both ends of the ground and his tap work is 100 times better than Sandilands.
Then there is Goldstein who dominates in the tap work and around the ground, and hits the scoreboard.

There are 10 ruckmen in the game i would take ahead of Sandilands.
Goldstein is the AA ruckman for mine with Natanui, Jacobs and Martin fighting out the back up role.
Top 10 in contested marks this year, Why have you lied?
