As well as being part of the greatest team of all i would just like to add that after watching the game again the players truely are gentleman and professionals of the highest order.

The way that Jimmy handled himself on Brownlow night.
Everything that Tom Harley says or does off the field.
The kindness and genuine attention to the young children presenting the premiership medals to them. Caroline Wilson is right, this was in stark contrast to West Coast. Geelong's players really do seem to value being considered role models. (again in stark contrast to West Coast)
The good sportsmanship and humble nature shown by Mark Thompson. (this really shows in the demeanour of the players too)

I hope that Geelong gets to play West Coast in the 2008 Grand Final. It would truely be a battle between Good and Evil (well maybe evil is a bit extreme, but bad)

couldnt agree with u more sir rooke
one of the things that i really appreicated by the team on that special team was they still acted with dignity and humbleness
none of them got carried away while receiving their medals, they just accepted them and shared their moments with the kids giving them the medals

congratulations geelong, not only r u sensational footy players but u r also sensational blokes

TC:eek:

Geelong were terrific when accepting their medals. I hope all those kids grow up to be Geelong supporters. It would have been great if Mooney had picked one of them up and held them above his head like the premiership cup.

You can't do that these days. Even teachers can't lay a hand on kids. There is always the risk that Mooney would have dropped one, and imagine the turmoil that would have occured then...

Moons doesn't drop em too often.

Speaking of which, was anyone near the fence at the Punt Rd end when it collapsed, almost on top of Premiership skipper Tommy Harley?? I was about 3 rows back and it was pretty amazing.

I don't think the club would be too happy though... Possible duty of care issues. To save legal problems, they were probably told not to pick them up.

Sometimes, when you win a premiership by 119, certain duty of care issues should be forgotten about.

Timmy: It was the greatest day of my life. Moondogs picked me up and showed me off to the cheer squad behind the goals. Then he slipped off the dais and I shattered my pelvis. This limp will always remind me of our 2007 premiership triumph

"Cameron Mooney dropped me on my head and I had to have reconstructive surgery. I got brain damage and now I have to go to physio every week to try and learn how to walk again. I hate Geelong and I think I'll go for Richmond."
