Solid debut game, one obvious mistake, coincidently gave a goal to an old team mate. Harvey is supporting the kids ATM so chances are he'll back him in for at least a couple games.

Wasnt Broughton best on in the WAFL?

Name amongst, shouldn't be cooling his heals for too long in the 2nds if he can hold his form I'd think.

I've watched Duffield in his last few games and he looks like a promising footballer for you guys. I've read some older threads on this board regarding his POOR disposal, , Is there by any chance a 2nd Paul Duffield in the Freo line up because he has looked very effective from what i've seen of him this year.

Which leads me to the question i guess. Do you guys rate him best 22 this year and a worthy DT prospect? Seems to find the ball alright and may just upgrade Hill to him. Pretty unique selection which i'm after, however if Harvey is going to dump him after a couple of bad games i'll steer clear.

The way the team's set up at the moment, and even with some decent names to come back from injury, Duffield is unlikely to get the chop..... however, he has shown the ability to drop form quickly in the past, but this is a new era where the squad is short of depth and Duffield is showing a real determined spirit that I've not seen. In form, he's a best 22 at the moment for sure. If I was playing I'd have him in the squad.

Mundy had an injury middle (early?) in the 2nd term to his foot. He came back for a short stint late in the game but clearly his kicking and movement was affected. Had scans today and reports in the media say nothing serious and is a better than not chance to play this weekend. I suspect a fitness test late in the week will confirm it tough.

I do have a large soft spot for them, I've been supporting Carlton and East Fremantle for many years (Before the Eagles and Dockers). Living in W.A it is hard to not have a second team which you would prefer to win and it would never be the scum known as the Eagles.

Get rid of him. Closer to WAFL reserves than AFL at the moment.

I haven't heard who flew over with the squad, but I'd imagine it was Broughton. Both Foster and Bradley would probably need the WAFL game time more than Broughton.

As for any late change, I don't think there will be. There was an injury cloud over Mundy earlier in the week, and there could be a very slight chance of Headland not coming up. But I doubt we will see a late change.

So, I wouldn't be putting him as my emergency.

Of course there isn't.

In that case, it wouldn't surprise if all 3 flew over. If there was to be a late change though, I'd have Foster ahead of Broughton. But, there more than likely wont be a change.

Broughton was a nominated rookie at the start of the year, along with Matt de Boer. With Luke Pratt getting promoted for one of Palmer/Crowley.
