I'd laugh if this pre-taped episode of Dynamite with its spoilers already leaked beat NXT this week in the ratings, since that's something the AEW haters are obsessing over nowadays. :p

You do realise that NXT was taped and leaked as well this week?

1997 was a great year in professional wrestling, too bad we won't see anything like that anytime soon, if ever. Fickle marks will still complain about any throwbacks though, LOL.

Taz has proven his worth in AEW and bringing back the FTW title is a nice throwback to how the title was introduced in the first place: both champs have been legitimately out of action (Shane Douglas was injured in 1998, Jon Moxley has been unavailable to attend due to his wife testing positive for COVID-19) and in kayfabe both champs have been accused by Taz as cowards that are too scared to put their world titles on the line (Taz being the challenger in the former situation and Taz being the mouthpiece for the challenger in the latter situation).

Are you able to make a single post without referencing WWE/NXT, ratings or using an emoji?

Of course I'm aware of the taped nature of this week's NXT episode. Vince and Hunter copied counter-programmed Fyter Fest (1st week live and 2nd week taped) with Great American Bash (1st week live and 2nd week taped). Unlike NXT which only had the result of their main event leaked (by a fellow NXT wrestler taking a pic and uploading it onto their Instagram feed before deleting it), the results of the whole Fyter Fest card were leaked and promoted all over social media. If the viewer numbers for Fyter Fest are roughly the same or even higher compared to last week's show, I will be pleasantly surprised especially when competing against a "winner takes all" NXT main event.

Talks about aew being leaked yet says nothing about Jericho leaking the nxt main event because Sasha beat him and he had a melt
It was an NXT wrestler in the crowd who leaked the results when they uploaded a photo of Keith Lee holding up both belts onto their Instagram feed before deleting the photo, but not quickly enough for various pro wrestling websites to upload the screenshot. But yes, it's Jericho's fault... :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

not like Jericho won clean

You're trying to suggest that the 49 year old heel winning in a non-clean way is an example on how the main event DIDN'T feel like WCW?

AEW and WWE will piss the audience off if they keep leaking results for free attention while saying they filmed multiple takes.

Never been pinned, never tapped out, never been eliminated in a battle royal in AEW. MJF has been booked well in human and puppy form.

Except for the 2019 Double or Nothing Casino Battle Royale.

I think we can all agree 1997 WCW/ECW craps on 1995 WWF (In your house, lol).

You guys spend more time talking about WWE/NXT than you do AEW.

To be fair it usually is the Vince fans coming in here to s**t on something that tends to derail the thread.

It's also obviously the thing it is going to be compared to.

People just really want WWE to monopolise the wrestling industry. Even during TNAs greatest period (the few years before Hogan came in), people would just post "LOLTNA" on social media all the time.

Nah, competition is a good thing for every industry. Particularly for the wrestlers themselves. Happy to see guys like Moxley get a chance to really shine at the top of a card to a worldwide audience. Would love to see someone like Cesaro do that as well if WWE never make the pull on him. I don't think AEW will ever do more than a 1.5m average in TV let alone compete with something like RAW (though could see WWE shrinking down to AEW's level) with their current product but for the industry itself AEW has been great.

Though the "no-crowd era" of wrestling has been really, really s**t

The stench of Vince Russo lingered around for a long time, even when TNA were producing good content.

The FTW title and a 49 year old defeating one of the "hottest acts" in the company---- unsure if I'm watching 1997 ECW or 1997 WCW

Really? Orange isn’t ready to get put over by Jericho. Not yet anyway. I still want Jericho and the Inner Circle to be booked strongly.

Another entertaining episode of Dynamite. :thumbsu: :D

Puppy Battle Royale is on Youtube right now, pretty entertaining so far. No doubt someone will complain about it on here. :p

Yep an embarrassing idea. Very WWE like. Not going to bother. Edit: I couldn’t help myself. I watched a bit. It was to create awareness for animal welfare so it’s fine.
