Dante Martin has so much potential.

Favourite match on Dynamite. Lost and still looked good. Looking forward to the rest of his career. Solid booking in that match.

Side comment, but did the Florida crowd seem bad, especially Dynamite where they were pretty much dead the whole night.

Crowd can't be nuts every week, but really stood out.

It looked like a kinda weird theatre - more like an auditorium. I wonder if it was anything to do with that.

I'm not a fan of the bracket, because you can already tell the final will be Moxley vs Danielson with Moxley winning the tournament.

I guess they don't want to beat Punk yet, hence why he's not in the tournament?

It’s a very underwhelming list. It’s all geared up for Mox vs Danielson. I would much prefer to have seen guys like Miro, Black, MJF.

They're intent on being very protective of anyone getting a decent push, to the point that they've made a tournament bracket with two stars, evidently facing at the PPV, and a bunch of midcard guys along with some left-of-field inclusions (Dustin Rhodes wtf). I can get wanting to protect records as well as not give away money matches for free, but it certainly comes off as strange from a kayfabe perspective and highly contrived.

In kayfabe it's hard to explain why several guys aren't in the tournament and some are. If you don't want to do those matches on TV, then perhaps you shouldn't be doing tournaments to determine the no.1 contender to the main event title.

Unless they’re fighting for a vacated title, tournaments are contrived rubbish. I expect better from AEW who rarely put a foot wrong. Hangman is still yet to fight after winning the Casino ladder match. What’s the rush on this?

think the 2 winners from each bracket have a match at the next PPV. The winner from that match will face the winner from Page and Omega match.

It was a pretty good show.

Punk was very good on commentary as usual.

I liked the Cody video, but I wish it was on a hand held cam more than a nice stylised production.

As someone who wasn't watching when Adam Page was building momentum, I've got to say I found his promo to be pretty banal

Some very enjoyable matches, I just didn't like The Elite match.

Those three dudes just standing during matches in the front row while everyone else was sitting must've been so ******* annoying.

I agree with what everyone is saying about those comical brackets. Why not give the rankings some importance and have ranks 2-5 face off in a more exclusive tournament? That would be Mox, Cassidy, Archer and Miro. And if you wanted to stick to that Danielson v Mox final you could've had reason to replace Danielson at 5 over Miro if you wanted, you also could have had a storyline reason for Miro not to enter the tournament and Danielson could've stepped up.

I love seeing the records when people come to the ring, but AEW need to give them more importance in the ways people get contenders matches.

‘maybe they want to run a special on Dynamite by having the tournament winner vs the champion?

On further reflection, I liked the Page promo. I liked how he brought up the very beginning of AEW, when he was seen as the first champion and failed against Jericho. It's cool how they everything matters and is remembered like that.

I think I was just getting hung up on how much he was forcing that cowboy s**t line.

Good promo by AEW standards. A lot of the guys they push do struggle on the stick, which is unfortunate. Some good workers, and guys who get over with the crowd, but it feels like the air going out of a balloon when they're given the mic. Feels like Jericho or Moxley or one of the many vets they have there should br running promo classes. It's very strange to have a wrestling fed where so many can't do it very well.

It's always been a point of separation for Hangman in AEW and why I was willing to give him a chance as a top liner. Not just good in the ring but also not bad on the mic, has a look, charisma, etc.

Just in terms of his comeback it is unfortunate that I still feel he's lost a lot of momentum and I wouldn't be as confident in them running with him at the top as might have been the case previously, but seems that's what they will do regardless.

Took me a couple of days to catch up on everything, and to be honest I'm not sure I needed to go past Friday's kick off show. That Dragon/Suzuki match was incredible. I'm such a fan of that strong-style that doesn't include stupid headbutts.

But there wasn't much after that on Friday or Saturday worth writing home about. WWE might've been right about Malakai Black - there's nothing about him that's entertaining me. I know there was an element of pisstake about the FTR costumes, but I still hated it, and while I know it's a whole thing with AAA it was too short a match for the Luchas to lose after the war they had at All out.

No surprises Danielson and Punk were involved in good matches but your right everything else was a bit meh this week on Dynamite in particular.
