Thoughts on the Christian promo? Haven’t seen much made of it in here compared to other places.

I thought it was excellent. One of the highlights of the show. I know there’s many who don’t like the reference of passed fathers, but fans invest when a feud feels truly personal imo, and it doesn’t get much personal than that.

Thought he taught alot of wrestlers how to do a great promo. Hopefully they pay attention.

That tweet juxtaposing a long, rambling rant from newly heel Edge with a newly heel Christian essentially saying “* you & your mum and your dead dad” was the most succinct explanation of why AEW is an easier watch that I could imagine.

Christian’s explanation made perfect sense (even if it was “just” a Casino Battle Royal), explained why he hasn’t been out working anybody, and made him look like an actual prick (not a cool heel at all.)
