All out youth policy?

With the eagles finals aspirations virtually gone, should KJ employ an all out youth policy? Should he drop players like Harding and Turnball? Maybe he could start giving youngsters larger responsibilities and hope that by the start of next year they could be playing at AFL standards.

I'm not saying drop everyone over the age of 25, but maybe instead of playing Jako at CHB he should give the responsibility to a youngster. Do the same with other key positions. This way our veterans(roo, kemp, McIntosh, Jako, etc) could play a support role, not get worn out as fast, and maybe have their careers prolonged.

Any thoughts?

The kids showing some promise in the WAFL surely must be able to do a better job than these current duds who are lowering the Eagles jumper.

no, continue to bring them in gradually.

You can't expect to go in with 7 or 8 players in their first season, and do any good. The key to blooding players is that they learn from the senior members in the side.

If dropped all the senior members, how are they supposed to learn.

I would bring MacDougall and Gaspar in pretty soon, ie, within next 2 weeks.

Don't just panic and throw in a hole heap of newcomers, because that will get you nowhere.

Well, Gaspar is on the short list. McDougall isn't on the Eagles injured list, don't know how he is going.

I don't think McDougall is even being considered, he is too young and skinny apparently. But i think Buszan will make his debut, KJ said on the eagles website that a rookie might get promoted and Buszan is the most ready of our rookie listed players.
