It's good to see somebody from another club thinks so.

the bombers were at full strength apart from lloyd and the all stars had one training run together and white who has retired was their biggest player

Not true, we were missing the boys who played for the AAS (Ryder probably not in our best 22), Laycock, Bradley (who has been playing very well on the wing in intra club matche ( i know not the best way to judge players but many think he will have a Watson esque year), Lloyd (as you know), MJ, Dempsey (my boy ;) ), and some fringe players like Nash, Dyson and Lee.

BTW Egan played well but like Ryder he does seem to lack intensity.

as long as they keep bradley away from the back line he might have a good year, couldn't cut it down there last season

I disagree with Bradley I think he is not a CHB but his best spot would be HBF. I don't think he has what it takes to be playing on the wing, but if you have him as a loose man across half back who will float up the ground and in some occasions stay back as the 3rd man in the contest, I think that would get the best out of him.

As for Egan and his midfield potential being criticised it's easy to say he doesn't put his head over the ball when he's playing an outside role. He will never be an inside player, but we won't know for sure if he can play midfield unless he gets quality time in the middle.

I'm not at all sold on Egan but optimistic that he can bring us something valuable to the midfield rotation .
He doesn't have to star , just offer a different mix that may be hard to match up on .

lets not get to excited here gents, the jury is well and truly still out on this one
I disagree - You usually don't notice someone's handballing, because with most people it tends to to be run of the mill.

With Egan's handballing though, it's almost impossible to ignore - He fires off laser handpasses routinely. That is not to say that he is there yet, but I think in terms of actually being able to fire bullet handpasses, he is probably the best we've got.

Whether he can turn that into an ability to routinely hurt the opposition with it remains to be seen, but he definitely has the skills.

I don't think it was a brave or silly call at all. I am not even saying he is the best handballer on our list just the most dangerous and damaging (positive not negative).

Wouldn't take Therussian's views on Egan too seriously jabso - disturbingly biased.

biased - yes,

disturbingly - no. I hope he goes well, i hope you guys are right, i truly do, but i think you are wrong, i'm happy for you all to keep this post and rub it in my face in 5 years if i'm wrong.
