No room for Salem? Although who would you drop for him? Kent? JKH?

Salem will have to do alot over summer to get a gig in the Rd 1 team
He did some impressive things but he also played alot of game time where he was invisible

Id think he will be forced to work his way back into the side again

Though upon looking at that side again I think Dawes should be swapped with Pedo
Pedo works just as hard, tackles and harasses and can also mark it OVER his head

I think Dawes is lucky to be at a Team as bad as us

I think Salem just had some issues picking up the pace of the game, his best performances were all as sub when it had slowed down a bit, when he started he was pretty average (Excluding the Port game).

Dawes had such a terrible second half of the season it made me sad, as I really liked his first half. I know I'm in the minority but I'm still a bit cautious judging our forwards when most weeks we have sub 40 inside 50s, and when it DOES go in the supply is usually crap anyway.

With Dawes the delivery is irrelevant, He isnt an AFL standard forward in a 1 on 1 contest and he cant mark over his head

If your expecting the ball delivered lace out to his chest then we dont need a bloke who is 6'5 or whatever we just need someone who can create seperation

I don't think he is going to become an A grader suddenly, but I do think we make him look worse than he really is sometimes.

I think fantastic delivery makes him look better than he actually is
The man is a monster key forward, he has a great engine and work rate and has pretty reasonable footy skills

BUT he is a shit Key Forward, at best he is a bigger version of Brad Miller, and I dont see why anyone else who works hard couldnt do the same role

Anyone else think Fitzy will be given an extended chance as a forward/ruck - and possibly at the expense of either Jamar and Gawn?

I know the kid looks ungainly but he has a knack of hitting the scoreboard.

I'd be up for letting Gawn and Jamar fighting it out for the no.1 ruck role and Fitzy to chip in with five mins here and there in the ruck. I just think Gawn and Jamar really struggle to offer anything as a forward and we can't afford to carry both in the side any more.

Fitzy managed to hit the scoreboard in the last few games despite the teams shitness which you cant ignore
Jamar may well be the backup to Gawn next year if he is fit meaning a Hogan, Fitzy 1-2 combination to start the season

Wednesday November 19 - Delisted primary list draft nomination form lodgement; Non–retained rookie players draft nomination form lodgement; Players not registered or played for three years rookie nomination. NAB AFL delisted player free agency period (2) closes

The not registered or played part, is that Aussie Rules in general (like Blicavs) or do they mean not on an AFL list?

There's a few players who have been over-looked for a few years now I'd love to see rookie-listed prior to the draft.

I remember in 2009 when everyone on here though N. Jones was a horrible decision maker under pressure

That he was and now I wouldn't want the ball in anyone else's hands. I think Tyson can and will be our best player in 2-3 years time.

Salem didn't have a pre-season unfortunately - not ideal for a first year player, and certainly not a first year player with good and not brilliant endurance as a junior.

I loved what I saw of him, he'll be a player.

At the start of the year I'd have said Wingard was the best player from the 2011 draft, but Tyson was incredible this year. Easy to forget that he's still played fewer games than O'Meara, Wines, Macrae, Viney and the majority of mids from the 2011 draft. Treloar has played about 25 more. Dom still has ways to go.

Oh so do I, has a really nice combination of skill and hardness from what we've seen thus far, but his lack of pre-season definitely showed. Really excited about him and JKH in the future.

Lack of preseason + thyroid illness as well. I'm surprised that Roosy played him in those couple of games late in the season, can't have done much for his confidence.

Almost spot on. Except it's Toumpas, not Toumpass ;)

Also Salem will start on the field/bench in 2015 I'd expect, with a full preseason which he didn't get last year. Swap Viney and Cross too. Don't think Barry will get a gig, it'd more likely be Cam Pedersen or Jack Fitzpatrick as the back up tall.

Great effort but i would swap:
Lumumba with Howe
Howe with Watts
Watts with Kent
Kent with Barry
JKH with Garlett

Well I posted before I wasn't sure where Lumumba was going and back then I was hoping Garlett was coming to us but I'd do that too.

Pretty much what I would go with McCartin, JKH and Brayshaw (who I'm assuming we draft) developing at Casey for a while, although I think Brayshaw would be ready to play sooner rather than later.

B: Jetta McDonald Dunn
HB: Lumumba Garland Grimes
C: Watts Cross Vince
HF: Trengove Dawes Pedersen
F: Garlett Hogan Kent
R: Jamar N. Jones Tyson
IC: Viney Howe Gawn
S: Kennedy-Harris

Something like that?

Yeah, I think so - but Gawn and Pedersen can't play in the same team when we have Hogan, Jamar and Dawes too.

Just my opinion, but one of them goes for a Bail/Salem/Matt Jones

Likely Gawn unless he really gets some consistency next year. Pederson is just a more influential player at this stage.
