The crowd numbers were very disappointing ....... really thought in a prelim a cauldron atmosphere was a necessity, but there’s only one club in the land that can fill the G on its own.

Collingwood is a little club who has less members than a club established thirty years ago.

Hung up? Not hung up ....... it’s fact!! Very disappointing to see you guys in a prelim at the G with not only a small crowd, but in no way intimidating for GWS. Apart from the comeback, it was deftly silence.

Wilderness? Not wilderness ...... it’s fact!! We’d played in 3 failed campaigns over the 4 previous years with sellout crowds, including 2017 and over the last 7 years we’ve played finals in 6.

No ...... for a team that came so close last year, with a weeks break and swagger in the tail ...... very disappointing not to have made the G a raving madhouse, full to the rafters with nutters hissing and booing the opposition and screaming like mad for your own team.

Be realistic, Richmond was effectively dormant as a force until 2017. That season stirred your bandwagon of support. It’s a great thing for your club that supporters became optimistic again.
The same thing will happen to Carlton in time. Perhaps on a lesser scale than Richmond however.
Where were you guys in the lean years? Not too loyal I’d suggest.
