Naitanui recorded a standing leap of 78cm in 2008 with Eastern Ranges’ midfielder Brad Harvey the closest this year with an impressive 75cm effort.

Batley is an extremely impressive all round athlete. It will be interesting to see his 20m sprint/agility/repeat sprint times.

It's a misprint. He did a 75cm vertical leap off his main leg. His off leg was a few cm's lower. The bit that was impressive with nicnat's was that there was less than 1cm difference between his main leg leap and his off leg. I'm also very sure that the website has it pretty wrong there.

AFAIK nicnat only equalled the standing vertical leap record held by croad. The record he smashed was the running vertical leap which is much more important for centre square tapwork and taking marks.

On Total Access Darling was listed at 191, they did all the height, weight, handspan, medical tests today so not sure if that was taken into account or they used old information in his profile.

So in summary, i don't know...

I hope they release the heights of all the players, not just the tallest/smallest at the camp. Interested to see if any players have grown much.

If he's 192-193cm then WCE will surley pick him, if he's still 190-191cm then i think he may slip through to Melbourne.

IMO Darling would be the perfect foil for Watts.

I question the intelligence of our AFL leaders. In America a combine is a draft camp. In Australia it is a large agricultural machine which lightly plows the ground as it plants seed.

Thats usually the way it goes. State results don't count for the records though which is a shame. For example Josh Milani had the best standing vertical last year at 84cm which would have been the record if he did it at camp.

With Wilson at a similar height and with a player like Luke Mitchell still around at 28 then we will go midfielder for sure.
