It is going to be very interesting to see the repeat sprint times this afternoon. I am thinking Wilkinson might really smash the record. Also a couple of others who I am keeping an eye on who I am hoping appear in the top 10 list.

from the vids they all look pretty decent ;)

not really, i was underwhelmed by Gaff's. Goes very deep to get lots of easy ball, never see him use his right foot except once when it didnt go over a jam tin. By the vid not much hurt factor there.

watch sam crocker's vid, you seem to like hurt factor

gaff kicks goals a fair bit from midfield ?

Goal kicking mid = hurt factor

richmond need an accumulator anyways

with Martin, Jackson, Tuck in the midfield as hard ball winners

and Foley as a potential line breaker if he stays injury free

i haven't seen a hell of alot of gaff, but what i have seen i don't see why he cant become a very good run and carry type player. He does have the speed, loves a handball recieve and he has decent penetration in his kick.
im sure at afl level, he'll start getting more ball forward of centre. The fact that he kicked 9 goals in 4 games says he likes going forward.

Repeat speed test, 6 x 30m, thanks to Emma Quayle

Joel Wilkinson 23.40 seconds
Brad Harvey 23.45
Shaun Atley 23.69
Keiren Harper 23.84
Dion Prestia 24.15

If so that means Brodie Smith is top 10 slowest over 5 metres.
I thought he was quick.

Keep in mind:

- He was coming off only 2 days recovery after playing in a SANFL League Preliminary Final on Sunday
- The testing is done on a basketball court from a prepared static start

Brodie Smith is quick, as anyone who has watched him play will testify.

Can anyone shed some light on the heights of players? The Top Ten goes from 204.6cm to 198.0cm with Gorridge and Lycett not in the top 10 (therefore shorter then 198.0cm?) However the Draft combine snippets - day 2 has the following:

"Who are you calling short?
What’s in a couple of centimetres? Plenty if your name is Daniel Gorringe. During the national under-18 championships, the South Australian ruckman was listed at 198cm, a height that’s now slightly short for an AFL ruckman. Gorringe is now listed as 200cm. Those two centimetres will ensure he’ll be drafted in the top 10."

So my questions are:
1/. Is the top ten the actual top ten?
2/. Is the draft snippets article correct?

Will Harveys good results in the leap and 20m sprint improve his draft currency, he didn't get a lot of the footy in the TAC cup this year.

Taking that into account his performance was still very disappointing. He plays in the midfield and the ability to go from standing start to full speed quickly is important. I believe they do two run throughs and take the average so his time so it would not have been the case of him just missing the start. Is he tanking hoping to fall to a preferred club?

Where did people get the idea that those were the bottom 10 5m sprints? Has it been confirmed?

Seems like a mistake to me. Anyone that has seen Brodie Smith knows he is lightning off the mark and some of those other names don't seem right either.
