Stringer has got to be one of the greatest players ever in terms of the sheer gulf between his best and worst.

Has the potential to completely tear games open and win them off his own boot but when he's off... wow. Mercurial isn't the right word, if he's having a stinker he can't get near it and when he does he actually has a negative impact.

Only watched about 3 quarters but you would really hope Heppell is injured. Hardly gave a yelp.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Dow match his output (playing the same role) within the next couple of seasons.

It’s all upstairs with him. He’s a supremely gifted athlete but he’s lazy, shirks contests he shouldn’t, looks for easy ball, ignores playing the percentages, has no left foot and is selfish. You’re right, it looks awesome when it works and horrendous when it doesn’t.

He’s so disappointing to me. I thought he was gonna be an absolute megastar after that 50 goal season early with the Dogs. The Package and all that. But he plays footy like an overgrown primary school kid.

By the way, I still think net-net Jake Stringer is worth it. A player of his ability to impact would be amazing at our team. But he's nothing like the player he *could* be and shows glimpses of being.

Have to hand it to Dodoro. 15 years without a final and he gets promoted. Unlike most jobs where you get found out in 2 years if you are no good recruiting takes closer to 8 (3 drafts 5 years down the track). In our case it was too late and the rebuilding list was cooked and it was time to start again.

Dodoro has been there doing just enough to keep his job, but the reckoning is coming.

Things looked good early but Merrett has developed into a hair pulling chip scab, Fantasia has stalled with injuries and MTW goes missing in big games.
2014 picked 2 flankers that after 5 years they must be jsut about ready to pull the pin on.
2015 -2 top 10 draft picks that are under performing given where they were taken and 2 more flankers in the second round one who has shown a bit and 1 who is gone
2016 - Used pick one on a back pocket with dodgy skills when they could have taken a silky outside goal kicking mid or a complete mid. Picked up another flanker who has struggled for game time but has shown a bit.
2017 - Traded first 2 picks for 3 flankers when they needed inside mids who were available
2018 - Traded out of a superdraft and the year after to get a mid who torches the ball. Stats are pretty much the same as he delivered at GWS but doesn't seem the same player in a weaker midfield. * supporters seem disappointed given what they paid but that is the player he is. Don't see any up side.

If SOS was to take over he would be stripping back the deadwood and trading out the over rated players for draft picks ready for a genuine crack in 5 years. Anyone can build a list to make finals
