All things Peter Jackson

To be fair football manager > CEO isn't uncommon. Sydney recently did it with Harley.
Yeah, but Mahoney is a pretty shit footy manager IMO. Boys club has to end.

Best thing he ever did was convince Roos to do 3 years here. Roosy wasn't interested in being a Messiah or even a regular senior coach but PJ wooed him on a can't lose deal. Exactly what we needed.

PJ has been massive for this club. He was brought out of club land retirement somewhat unwillingly and stayed a couple of extra years more than his original plan to ensure we got through the hard times. I'll be forever grateful to the bloke for bringing us back from the brink, needs life membership.

Good luck to the man in whatever project he decides to do in life

Peter Jackson and Paul Roos would disagree with you on that one.

In fact Mahoney was basically the only person to survive Jackson's cull, with Jackson going so far as to say that Mahoney is "a rising star of football administration"

What don't you like about Mahoney?

Jackson knew that we needed a steady hand to right the ship until we were out of the hole. It was an inspired appointment.

Nooooo. He's the best thing to happen to the club in decades. It was a circus before he took over.

We need someone clever and persuasive to convince him to stay longer.... maybe for another three years.

Who have we got?

it will be sad to see him go next year. he was one of the single most important appointments at the club in decades imo. took us from a complete basket case to where we are now in the space of just 5 years, which was a lot longer than he wanted to do when he first stepped in to help out the MFC, but I get the feeling he's the sort who doesn't like half finished/half arsed jobs. hopefully his legacy will be felt at the club for many years in the future as well.

Simon Lethlean & Paul McNamee are available

I'd actually love Ian Prendergast, but I am biased as I know him professionally

Would prefer a proven CEO, we have the right people in place now so it will be someone that can come in and continue to grow the clubs brand and finances.

It really depends on how much other people already at the club have learned and shown I guess as to whether an outside CEO or a promotion would work better

Guys Chill.

He will handle the transition with the same professional and classy skill he has done everything else with.
Oh absolutely, no doubt about it. And then we will fall off a cliff and slide backwards into the depths of fiery, mediocre hell.

Logically, if PJ always makes great decisions, whatever decision he makes regarding his successor must be the right one. We'll be ok. All hail PJ...
