$1500 fine.
Disgrace when you compare v Lynch 5 weeks.
It a f@ckin joke. The guy swings his arm above his head and only gets a fine? It was a deliberate attempted strike with the potential (which the AFL loves to bring up) to inflict a serious head injury. If he connected he would have knocked out Melksham. Going by the precedent that AFL set last week that deserved a 3 week penalty on the potential alone.

Are they serious about stamping out striking (attempted or not) from the game or are they cherry picking who to give a holiday each week. /s

Lynch = not a good look for junior footy, intent, behind play, frustration, needs to be stamped out
Keane = ???

love how Jackson from the power can deliberately knee Zorko in the ribs while on the ground and its just a 2k fine..
If that was a richmond player he would have been bashed by the media and dragged into a suspension..
If it was Lynch the media would have gone into melt down.

Yeah your right but what your not considering is that Hugh Jackson did all of Australia a massive favour

This WASN'T sighted by the VFL MRO in it's initial findings.

only got attention 24 hours later after it blew up on social media.

2 weeks but gets 1 week with an early plea.

kicked him near the head at the end too.

Someone make it make sense.

Darcy Moore doesn't even get cited.
Move along nothing to see here.

Does anyone have footage or timestamps of what Maynard did? Apparently there were a couple of incidents that were also not looked at but have oppo supporters up in arms, especially given his dog past.

That’s the one in the 3rd, then the push on Reid was half way through the last quarter

Lynch swings an arm connecting mainly with the back of the shoulder, with some minor contact to the head. Mind you Lynch was being illegally held, stopping him from fairly contesting the ball, or from even moving towards the ball.

The Tribunal effectively said well if you hadn't mainly made contact with the body but punched him purely in the head with full force, there was a a potential to cause severe injury.

Yet in all these other cases of deliberate actions, Maynard deliberately pushing an opponent in a bench area crowded with chairs and people etc, Moore deliberately driving his knees into the prone Treacy, Dev Robertson deliberately heart punching an opponent with proper force, the Lynch reasoning is not applied...ie had the blow been landed to a proximate vulnerable area instead of where it was landed, then there was a potential to cause severe injury.

These campaigners are an utter mess. The bias is palpable. Lynch got 5 weeks. Like this is not the difference between Lynch getting 1 week or a fine and these grubs getting off Scott free, it is 5 weeks v scot free.

Colonwood are a protected species in this competition.

Mark my words, they will be helped to the premiership this year.
