Give me an example of one incident prior to Cotchin where a player was going for the ball and wins the ball but due to damage to his opponent is suspended. I agree Cotchin would be suspended now … but if you can come up with a single example prior to that incident I’d like to hear about it.

Show us another player suspended before or after Cotchin for making contact with another player contesting a ground ball where they both arrived almost simultaneously at the ball. Two since that spring to mind that did not result in suspensions were David McKay on Hunter Clark & Joel Selwood on Rhyan Mansell, the latter not even cited.

This is leaving aside the fact that there is strong evidence Shiel was not concussed by Cotchin(passed a HIA immediately after, was concussed in a later collision.)

But let’s put both of those telling points aside and assume for one minute the Cotchin case went our way. How many biased decisions would have to be made against Richmond subsequently without any obvious ones going our way before you would think that the Cotchin case no longer means we can rule out unfair bias? How many years of opponents maiming our players without penalty? How many games lost hinging on a never before or since seen umpiring or ARC decision(we are 0-3?) How many complete coincidences like 3 of our players cited for rubbish that was thrown out by the Tribunal from one single match? How many years worst off on the free kick table? How many Free Agent compo rulings that we seem to fall just the wrong side of? How many times the most 50m penalties for non obvious infringements that never seem to get paid our way with the same level of enthusiasm? How many rules need to be made to thwart our competitive advantage over the other clubs & hand an advantage to our main rivals? Why exactly do you think the AFL has significantly loosened the purse strings post Covid everywhere else bar the soft cap?

And how long before you realise that it doesn’t take a massive industry wide conspiracy to cause all of this? Most of it can be heavily influenced by a single position - the footy ops manager, and a small amount of people that person works with daily(who may not even be aware they are being unduly influenced.). Who filled that position during the period in question? Who succeeded them when they were appointed Geelong CEO? Which club has known tentacles in fixturing, auditing, and clearly great contacts in AFL Footy Ops? And which club has none of these things and had its CEO overlooked for AFL CEO despite just about universal acceptance that he was the most suitable candidate?

Wake. Up. And. Smell. The. Sewer. My. Friend. It ****ing stinks.

There’s no planned or spoken conspiracy. It’s just a subconscious bias that was brought to the surface when Richmond became successful. The footy world wasn’t ready for a successful Richmond … it made people uncomfortable, particularly Geelong people who went from laughing at Richmond for 30-years to becoming their finals bunnies.

So Steve Hocking would personally despise Richmond for what they did to his club, no different to other supporters - that’s a very normal emotion.

So when there’s an opportunity to prevent Richmond from emerging back to the top, which was so uncomfortable for four years for basically the entire industry, then we don’t get the rub of the green.

Umpiring/MRO/tribunal etc… everyone follows a footy team - anyone who doesn’t follow Richmond has an emotional need born out of our dynasty to do us no favours wherever possible.

That’s why the clear bias started only once we started winning.

Mansell’s problem is that he is not a good bloke. Tom Stewart is and so he only got 4 weeks for knocking out Prestia. Totally off the ball, completely pre meditated.
And of course Dangerfield never got anything for knocking Vlaustin out in a GF. That one was even more confounding.
We must do good bloke training for all our players.

Unsurprising that none of the toxic trolls on this forum will do anything except whinge and play the victim.

The club and the players don’t whine and act like victims; they get on with working towards success.

You want to be a nuffy, knock yourself out.
