He said he would make his decision at the end of the season all along and thats what he did.

There is no way of us knowing this one way or the other.

All we can conclude is that he announced his decision at the end of the year. When he actually made the decision is what will always be under scrutiny. He played the situation for the best preparation possible for his move to GWS and MFC came 2nd in all aspects whether by design or coincidence.

I would confidently say that the "nobody thought" line is in response to the Sydney media and those from the other football code...

Thanks for that clear up. And I must say if GWS are genuinely chuffed that they proved sections of the sporting world who have a proven track record of uninterested/uninformed opinion on all matters AFL, more power to them!
