Tony the linguist giving some suppository's of wisdom to the younger generations...

"When you are challenging the young, they can come back at you with language of tremendous power and they are no respecters of sacred cows, you know, the young. There's nothing politically correct about the average young Australian when it comes to use of language"

And some couples counselling

"Abortion is the easy way out. It’s hardly surprising that people should choose the most convenient exit from awkward situations."

This guy is a Comedian!!
At least he will provide some laughs for the next 3 years

Goebbles was a bit of a standup comic way back. He use to leave them laying in the aisles too.

Actually they are representing Palmer in the senate, the Palmer party is funded by palmer

So the party as a whole has a conflict of interest

You will find that the PUP and the Palmer group of companies are separate legal entities.

It's like politicians moving all their shareholdings into a blind family trust.

Does that include my mum? Shes 90 & bed bound. I guess they can wheel her out.

So when she gets ill, are you going to insist that they give full medical care, pump blood transfusions into her, run every medical test and procedures in a bid to make her live a little longer?

Or

Deny medical treatment other than dosing her up with morphine so she can die with dignity and comfort?

Palmer senators take orders from Palmer , Palmer wants the carbon price/tax gone because he refuses to pay the carbon price/tax

Its conflict of interest

That is a bit rough from you?

What the **** is wrong with you?

I know I've been a critic of Tone, but good on him for supporting the Socceroos and their captain "Mike" Jedinak.
Maybe I am getting soft but 'k' is next to 'l', perhaps this time it was a genuine mistake?

It was, but doesn't anyone actually review these things before they release them to the press? It was pretty sloppy, Peta will spank.

If it was an isolated incident then I'd excuse him, but considering how often he does it sorry but not willing to accept it. At least I know the last Liberal PM would not only of got his first name right, but would've made sure he knew how to pronounce his surname correctly too

Tony Abbott is right to call him 'Mike' though, his name is MICHAEL Jedinak. 'Mile' is a nickname.

He is widely called Mile, if his name is Michael, why change it to Mike?

That he has been known throughout his career, as a Socceroo and at club level.
Lol, half the footballers on the planet are known by names not their own. You think they introduce themselves in formal settings with their moniker? Maybe, just maybe he met the PM and introduced himself by his real name, and out of manners he refers to him as such?

Maybe. Or maybe, just maybe, the PM made a mistake. Hence why we have a 13 page 'gaffe' thread.

If he was referring 'out of manners', would he have used 'Mike'?

Why do you feel the need to defend Abbott so stridently??
