Hadn't looked at buy team like that for a while. I'm pretty happy with how that's looking. Could play another batsman as well as a wicketkeeper even. 3 bowlers (Imran is in the team as a bowler, batting is a bonus) + 2 all rounders who could be bowling or batting all-rounders - in the case of Rhodes, more there for his bowling, Aubrey the opposite. Might drop Rhodes though as well, get in a true opener and play 4 bowlers + Faulkner, who was a very, very handy spinner himself. My wicketkeeper doesn't need to be some incredible batter if he is coming in at 8 or 9. Can just be a pure gloveman - there are a few wicketkeepers from the old era that come to mind
Looks alright. Obviously missing a few bowlers, need another quick IMO. Spewing you took Faulkner. Had him penciled in at my next pick. You want a good keeper on spinning wickets. Surely there are a few still out there

Need a topline spinner in Adelaide. Lara is a star especially in Adelaide. Love AB in the middle there as he will value his wicket. Miandad went early which i was surprised about considering he didnt play all that well in Australia although he did score a ton and a few 50s at Adelaide.

This draft for me has highlighted the quality of spinners vs pace in the last 50 years. There's Warne and Murali on a different level. Then Laker and some others (e.g. Tayfield, Underwood, some others as well), all with very good averages. However, outside that, many of the recent "great" spinners don't really have great stats. E.g. Bedi ~28, Qadir 30+, Kumble 30, Chandrasekhar 30+ etc. These stats often get significantly worse outside their home countries, Kumble, for example averaging nearly 36 away from home - the averages themselves aren't terrible, but when you remember they were often bowling on spin friendly pitches and these bowlers couldn't bowl well outside their home country, they look a lot worse). Whereas, there is a long list of great fast bowlers in this time.

I'm voting for 23 hours.

I don't see how that would be logical. Why not just push it to 24 so that it can be a full day? Think before you post, mate. You just come off as foolish.

So i guess thats me then.

I'll chose another quick bowler - Alan Davidson, New South Wales, Australia 1930-1964

Nice average of 20.53ish. Considered one of the great left arm quick bowlers and could also wield the willow a bit.

Danger in Texas your go buddy

Was going to take Davidson a while back but already had a NSW'er. Had to be sneaky to get Waugh.

I also wanted him but I need Pre 1930 players and Turner had a great record at Lord's
