O'Neil......... yeah F*(ken haaaa.

That was a steal.

Thrilled with that pick.

Don't mind the Treacy pick as well.

We are set for a massive push for premierships over the next couple of years. We’ll worry about the down side on the other side of that window another day. If we add another flag to the 18 one, then who cares. We also have young key position players who will see us through the other side as well.

A year or two of high draft picks in 22-23 to pick up a gun mid or two and we’ll be right back in it.

I know what your saying but people do care look how much we care even though we won the 2018 flag !!

Pretty happy with our picks tbh.

In an ideal world we would have traded up and grabbed someone like Rivers but that's easier said than done, especially given our meagre draft hand.
We've addressed the four positions where we need developing depth to eventually replace established players: ruck, medium defender (specialist kicker), small forward and midfield.
Obviously we do need more young midfielders, but it's also important not to draft so many at once that you create a glut that deprives them of opportunities in the senior and reserve teams.

Not that it's particularly important, but we've also limited any 'go home' factor with three WA boys and a Tasmanian.

Very happy with O'Neill at 25 in the rookie draft.

Many had him going around 20 in the national draft.

Possibly the biggest slider of them all.

Sooooo rather than a mere tent, a whole BCF store was involved in this slide?

Happiest i've been with our draft haul for a long time!! :westcoast:

BOND 007 make sure you thank Vozzo for me, him trading away all our picks like a campaigner lowers expectations. Bold strategy.

We went for 'best available' with the Jamieson pick, already said how happy i am with that :whitecheck:

Getting O'Neil for a packet of twisties is CRAZY GOOD. Re-arrange all our selections so that we got O'Neil with our first and Johnson in the rookie draft and it looks a whole lot better. O'Neil, as others have said was rated in the top 30. Dynamic player, not vanilla :whitecheck::whitecheck:

Only selection i'm scratching my head over is the Treacy pick, but that's a list need and only a rookie selection so makes sense.

Big tick from me boiz, dicks out :fire::fire::fire::fire: :eggplant:

Great stuff WC, outstanding club! Ticked every box bar a key position player which we really didn't need any more of.
2 mids, 1 ruck, 1 hbf, 1 small forward.

Why did O'Neill slide so far? Clubs don't rate Tassie kids?

I'm pretty happy with our haul. We got the best player during the trade period, Kelly is an elite midfielder which is exactly what we needed. I think those melting are underestimating just how good he is. And we still managed to address our most pressing needs with the draft picks we had.

Excellent work!
