Acres is OK. Kind of player every club has on their list. Not great, not terrible.

Aish probably would have won the reverse Norm Smith in the 2018 GF. Don't see the attraction.
New coaches quite often bring undervalued spuds in cheaply from the previous posting

something tells me that Mutimer is going to get delisted.

I was hoping that Matthew Allen would have been given a chance along with Hamish Brayshaw and there are no certainties on what will happen to these guys

it's going to be tough even with an elite player like tim Kelly coming in
All 3 including Smith should be delisted. Matt Allen has done nothing for two years and barely puts a dent in the JLT. Brooksby is probably worth another year on the rookie list considering he won the B&F. Times come for people to start looking beyond their man loves and see it for what it is, all those players are behind the likes of Rotham, O'Neill, Foley, Cameron, Williams, Watson, Cole and Brander.

I actually almost agree though for what it is worth. You can't give too many chances. I would still probably prefer MAllen on the rookie list before Brooksby. We would still have two middle-of-the-road middle-of-their-career rucks to fall back on outside of Nic Nat and getting some games into Bailey Williams.

Malcolm Rosas jnr named by the GC as their inaugural Darwin pre listing .

AFL have certainly gone the other way for GC , they're are going to be pretty handy with Rowell and Anderson also more to come ..... they're going to be some team .

Richmond will be licking their lips as they watch their nursery develop these players.

It's all part of the AFL's brilliant plan to eliminate tanking. Now you don't need to finish bottom to get early draft picks, because Gold Coast is already there and you can get them for peanuts in a few years when they're just hitting their straps.

Really think Menadue is worth picking up with either a late pick or on the rookie list. Can run on the wing or HF, is a good kick of the ball but doesn't suit Richmond's crash and bash football style.

Certainly a far better option than smith is currently.

Because of the tigers game style they've tried playing him as a defender. Guy is a natural HF or Winger. Only just turned 23.

But ...But ....I feel everything will change now , Darwin's Rosas is a top 30 pick for free ( prelisted ) plus getting best two players is huge plus more to come they will have success shortly GC and 90 % of their players should stay surely .

I liked him in his draft year due to his speed.at the time we were very one paced.i agree he'd be a better fit with our list than smith

To be honest, there must be a reason why he was delisted without much fanfare. If we take a punt on him for peanuts then sure (especially if he a running winger or flanker that can kick the ball well - perfect for our game style) but surely there must be some pretty big flaws in his game and may never turn out to be anything more than a C-grader.

Not overly physical and is better in space than in tight. Just doesn't suit the tigers game plan imo. He won't ever be a star but is a better player than at least 10 on our list and plays a position we are short on.

We don’t have much scope to sign a DFA. We’ve got to take two picks in the national draft (in addition to upgrading Watson) and that’s Mutimer and Allen’s list spots. If we want to add a third player through free agency we’d have to delist Brayshaw as well.

Would have to picked up through the draft wouldn't he? Free agency period has passed this year.

Thats what was said about the GWS . It may be an advantage but not as big an advantage as the MCG

The reason for his delisting is salary cap .

They had unexpected pay rises for stack and pickett . The other side of the coin to not getting them in the normal draft

Rowell and Anderson will realise (if they haven't already) that they can still be best friends and see a lot of each other at different Melbourne clubs. Hell, until a month or so ago they probably thought they'd be in different states.

Ah so Stack and Pickett get new contracts and pay increases inside two years.

At the end of the day the best equalisation tool is the salary cap.

You sure? Fairly confident that in the first two years the contract is a base one.
