Thought Morris was pretty good tbh.

He was good. Most Richmond supporters absolutely love the bloke for his attack on the ball. I concede he struggled a little in the run home while carrying a shoulder injury and made a few too many errors, but he showed plenty for a first-year player, e.g. comprehensively beating Lewis Jetta. Was 7th in the b&f, ahead of the Coleman winner and not far away from Tuck in 4th. There are several more deserving candidates from Richmond.

Gee, glad I haven't ventured onto this thread before. I'm not a huge fan and he's a frustrating player as he tends to get brushed aside far too easily, but here's a couple of relevant stats.

Leading goalkickers "on the road" at Victorian clubs, min. 20 games:

2.89 Lance Franklin
2.11 Jack Riewoldt
2.00 Steve Johnson
1.90 Robin Nahas
1.85 Tom Hawkins
1.77 Stephen Milne
1.75 Travis Cloke
1.68 Nick Riewoldt

Think I've gone far enough.

In addition he was a top-25 goalkicker in the AFL this year, ahead of the likes of Goodes, Harvey, Saad, Ballantyne & Porplyzia. He doesn't belong in your team.

Yeah I apologise.

Nahas dined out on Gold Coast with 4, 3 against Port and 3 against Brisbane on the road.

Against Adelaide he kicked 1, against Fremantle he kicked 1 and was held goal less by GWS in the wet.

He is without doubt a flat track bully who failed to register goals against the top 4 sides.

In 4 efforts against top four sides Nahas registered 2 goals.

Against the top 8 sides from 9 efforts he kicked 9 goals, playing almost exclusively as a forward.

I'd say that's a fair indication of his inability to compete, let alone perform against quality sides.

The longer his type is tolerated at Richmond, the longer they will be anchored in the bottom half of the eight.

Yep, that's another valid criticism, and one of the reasons I'm not as enthusiastic as some other Richmond supporters.

But while 22 players kicked more goals than Nahas (AA half forward Rioli kicked one more, the other HF Dangerfield kicked 12 fewer), 652 players kicked less - against dud teams and all. Repeat, he doesn't belong in your team.

BTW you'll be pleased to know that GWS currently has a big offer on the table for Nahas.

NB Those figures for goals kicked in other states are over the players' entire careers.

Kosi: Huge disapointment. Just no other words to say.
Folau: No doubt one of the worst recruits of late, if not the worst.
Hunt: Im not sure about this guy, I think he's much the same as Folau. Highly regarded as a NRL player.

Jack Watts, who missed 6 games through injury, fo' sure deserves to play ay.

Well if Lance Franklin can make the AA after missing like 6 games surely someone can make the worst team missing games as well.

Dylan Toune has selected the BigFooty News All Un-Australian team for 2012:

I'm quite dumbfounded how Sellar was put there; every Melbourne supporter bar a few want him signed up. Played very well in defence; I can't remember anyone kicking over 2 or 3 goals on him. Ricky Petterd, Neville Jetta, Matthew Bate etc. would have all been far more inspired selections.

I really don't want to criticise, but Sellar started the year forward until about Round 6 where he was the epitome of toilet. He then went back an played some good footy, but went forward again when we shifted Garland back into defence after his purple patch. He ent on to kick something like 9 goals in 4 games - none too shabby.

There seems to be a big lack of Doggies players in people's lists, although I don't know that many who have played more than 10 that have been dreadful. Has Jarrad Grant? One good game for the year, many shockers. Tom Williams? I like him and he makes a contest but he is one of the most awful set-shots I've ever seen. Then you've got the Djerkurra's, Vezpremi's, Sherman's who do stuff all but I'm not sure make the cut.

Grant , DJ 13 games
Sherminator 10
Vez 8
Williams 3

Wow, Williams only played 3 games? I must have seen all the games he played then - I just figured he played more.

Cheers for that. I hope Grant really shows something next year, he had one or two pretty good games - I dunno what's going on there.

B: Sam Lonergan, Alipate Carlile, Tayte Pears
HB: Darren Pfeiffer, Ryan Schoenmakers, Simon Buckley
C: Liam Anthony, Matthew Bate, Ed Curnow
HF: Sam Blease, Justin Westhoff, Patrick McGinnity
F: Ashton Hams, Lachlan Hansen, Jarrad Grant
Foll: James Sellar, Ricky Dyson, James Polkinghorne
Int: Justin Sherman, Lynden Dunn, Nick Suban, Matt Campbell

Sam Lonergan: He's still getting a game?
Tayte Pears: Played Cloke back into form.
Ricky Dyson: He's still getting a game?

Sam Lonergan is a backman now?

Pears didn't even play on Cloke.

Dyson was actually pretty good when he played.

Yeah, I thought Dyson was actually really hitting his straps before the ankle injury, was racking it up and looking pretty comfortable.

Lonergan and Pears weren't great but certainly not worst 22 in the AFL standard.

Nahas is a specialist forward pocket. I'm pretty sure that at least 640 of the players who kicked less goals would kick more if they sheep dog away in the forward pocket like Nahas does every week.

Matt Campbell: A few times this season watching the Kangaroos I totally forgot he was playing. Goes missing for long, long stretches at times.

Maybe because he's our main sub. ;)
But you're right, he's not great when starting on. Gets as many possessions as the sub than his does as a regular player.

Hunt would be captain of Melbourne if he played there ... so yeah I guess I do agree with you

Adelaide could use him atm with the skeleton crew back line, he smashed Rutten.

Certain players if you put them in it just shows you havent been paying attention and your team loses.
Putting in Daniel Talia is probably to stupidest selection I've seen in all of them to date.

Nahas 34 goals 81 tackles

Harvey 32/64
McGlynn 29/71
Garlett 29/71
Davey 29/66
Saad 28/52
Fasolo 27/53
Ballantyne 27/72
Bennell 25/48

You may as well point the finger at Ian Callinan, 38/29.

I could pluck 10 names from a hat at random before coming up with one better than Nahas. There are many, many worse players.

You're backing a loser.

Are you saying picking an nominee is similar to picking the RS winner? Because no, you can play one half decent game and get a nomination.
Otherwise this is very vague.
Nah, just saying he's also silly for the role he plays
