od signs, great effort, shit disposal at times. We are on the way, down two rotations from half time hurts an afl team these days. We had our top 3-4 forwards not even on the park today, any other team would struggle the same. sucks to lose but this is a two year process. If we have our full team on park in 2-3 weeks and deliver the same I want answers but if we turn it around i’m happy.

Better game from pendles today was nice.
Go pies.

How many brave losses till we stop giving credit for being close? No other key forward besides Moore? Absolutely questionable coaching.

Another thing. GWS kicked about 5 goals today due to sheer talent. We lost about 5 goals ourselves due to a complete lack of talent.
Yeah agree.

However add De Goey, Elliott, Fasolo and no injury to Moore to that side and i think we would of won today for sure.

Broomhead incident terrible. Feel for him.
Moore out with a hammy, fantastic! :(

Missed easy shots on goal, kicking still let us down but intensity was fantastic. Pretty much the same as last year, if we turn up we are a chance but not finals bound.

Our forward line is really struggling, personnel the biggest issue.

Aish and Scharenberg very good tonight. Grundy superb and Pendles all class. How on Cameron was sensational.

Go pies!

Proof why McLarty should of Played. No Thanks to the Idiots at the Selection Table

Can't be upset with that effort, the players tried their guts out.

We can't do much about the skills except keep recruiting to rebalance the list.

Even though we lost I am proud of how they played with pride in the jumper, not even remotely pissed over this weeks loss.

It's funny how different the 2 losses made me feel, i was absolutely filthy last week, this week nothing but good effort and bad luck.

Anywhere near our best 22 in today & we win that game comfortably.

Grundy was huge for us & our backs stuck at it well. Mids were disappointing despite Grundy giving them silver service. We cop a lot of flak for bombing it on our forwards heads but is there any choice when the lazy buggers refuse to lead to the ball carrier? Attention forwards. When you are outsized the solution isn’t to stand around & hope to outbody somebody 6 inches taller than you. Get on the bike & lead ffs.
All said & done we gave our all. Losing sucks but at least the effort was there. We are still after all this time the most injury prone team in the competition

DeGoey, Elliott, Fasolo, Wells and Greenwood not available

Cox suspended

Reid a late out

Broomhead breaks a leg in Q1

Moore unsighted after half time, so we have just two rotations and no talls to help Grundy let alone play forward.

Yet we hit the front in the last quarter, and if Grundy had kicked his snap from the ruck contest put us 3 goals up and we may have held on.

A frustrating loss, but we held up pretty well considering, structure was good, pressure was good...but our entire first choice forwardline not playing we were always in strife.

Great Effort but No Forward Line and Poor Ball Use Hurt us big Time.

My Thoughts from Game:

  • Crocker will never be a AFL Player
  • Grundy really Stood Up in the Game and Easily was BOG
  • Treloar is in Shocking Form. Either Drop Him or Rest Him IF Injured
  • Aish was really Good Today. More Damaging with his Disposals and Tackled Strongly
  • Injuries might Kill this Season quite Quickly
  • Howe was Amazing but Probably should of gone Forward when Moore did his Hammy
  • WHE is Damaging but need to get lot more then 11 Touches
  • Stephenson Tries Hard but Can't do what he wants as not Strong Enough yet
  • Love Murray Taking the Game On
  • JT was Good
  • Can't Play Cox and Grundy in Same Team as when Grundy Rucks alone he Dominates but when Sharing with Cox he can Struggle
  • Stevic the Scump is a Cheat

Don't like to correct you Dave...but Crocks is already an AFL player and he's doing ok for someone his size playing as a key forward

Seriously, the amount of times I said "go **** yourself you campaigner" after yet another bullshit goal" would be a world record

Pretty good effort considering the circumstances.

The backline held up well, midfield cracked in (still runs one way a bit) but the makeshift midget forward line simply couldnt cope without anyone big to help, and so many high indirect kicks.

This high intensity bruising football is BS!

You want injuries.. last quarter fade outs.. and burnouts come round 12.. you're going about it the right way Buckley.

Balance between playing high intensity.. skillful.. possession.. patient.. open.. etc football.

The effort was there.. the football itself was ordinary.

When they review the tapes.. what do they do about this bombing shit into our forward line.. what do they do with a small forward line.. etc.

Some shit I simply don't understand.

Jezz are we that Desperate for a Forward.

Problem is can plays simmlar postion to Elliot and Fas

Il go as far as saying that if we hgadva tall in our forward line the second half we win the game. Get 1 or 2 of our forwards back and we will look so much better

Much better effort and endeavour than last week but GWS were always going to kill us with their class and superior ball use. Honourable losses sure as hell suck but at least it wasn’t the horror show spanking that so many predicted/expected. Losing Moore was the game changer as our forward line was just too small and not fast enough. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but replacing Reid with Broomhead was a head scratcher, always replace a tall for a tall especially given the backline of GWS. Anyways, I’m a fan of Murray and the way he takes the game on. Good games from Shaz, Grundy and Phillips and a tick this week for Pendles and Treloar as it was much improved from last week.
