How would you guys fell about getting an alternate playing strip?
Of the 16 clubs, we are the ONLY club that has never altered our guernsey. While this is admirable, it makes little sense to continue to wear our traditional jumper when we are the away team against, say, Melbourne and St.Kilda.
I was watching ManU the other day, and they were the away team agaisnt another side that wore red, and ManU came out in a white strip. They also have a yellow strip.
I really get sick of going to Essendon-Melbourne games and finding it hard to differentiate between the teams. It's just a big mixture of dark and red. Same when we play the Saints.
Even though we are the only club to never have an alternate jumper, I really feel we should have one in these situations. Every other sporting club in the world does it to avoid clour clashes. We should too, but only when we are the away team, and only when our opponenets jumper is similar enough to warrant a change.
