A baby-faced teenager is expected to be charged with the murders of two men who were stabbed to death after opening their door and letting a terrified woman inside.

Father-of-three Corey Christensen, 37, and his friend Tom Davey, 27, were watching the rugby league Grand Final at a home in Alva, a sleepy seaside town south of Townsville, in Queensland's north, on Sunday night.

The game had only finished a few hours earlier when a screaming Candice Locke, 29, came to their door and begged the pair to let her inside, 9 News reported.

The woman was reportedly running away from 19-year-old Dean Webber, who is said to have arrived at the house shortly afterwards with a group of men.

It is understood Webber was an occupant of the house that has been owned by his family for more than 30 years and is known by locals as 'Webber's Hut'.

Police will allege Webber stabbed Mr Christensen and Mr Davey to death on the road after a brawl broke out between the two groups.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that Mr Webber, who was taken in for questioning on Sunday, was expected to be charged with two counts of murder.

DETECTIVES investigating how two men ended up dying from stab wounds in Alva, a sleepy beach village in north Queensland, have said the deaths could’ve been a result of self-defence.

Just after midnight on Monday, 29-year-old Candice Locke ran to a house on Topton St in Alva, nursing a dislocated shoulder and begging for help.

Inside that house was Dean Webber, a 19-year-old local who lives there with family.

Police allege the teenager helped Ms Locke, who had been hurt in an earlier incident.

A short time later, a group of men arrived at the house.

A brawl broke out, ending with Alva local Corey Christensen, 37, and his friend Tom Davy, 27, dying in the street from critical stab wounds.[/qoute]

Been reading about this. Interesting to see what happens here. Surely if you kick someones door in and engage in wrestling then die from being stabbed it is considered self defence. Horrible circumstance all over.

Have to read between the lines a bit with this one IMO . Rugby Grand Final- huge pissy night in a small North Queensland Town. The chick is 29 years old and after she's fallen off the quad bike the realisation of " I'm too old for this s**t, WTf am i doing with these drunken clowns has set in,and she's off she wants out at any cost and any house will do as she's not a local.
The boyfriend and the local bloke have seen her go in the house and they know The bloke who owns the house, he has lived there thirty years and is verywell known to the local father of three who feels quite entitled to bang on the door of his mate and may even be aware he is not at home.
Next thing the lights go out which leads the boyfriend to believe maybe his missus is getting taken advantage of in her drunken state, so he and the others enter and are surprised to find the teenager swinging a great carving knife to deadly effect.
He kills one and the other bloke grabs him around the throat trying to figure out who is this guy and as his arms are raised he cops one in the armpit, rushes outside knocking the door off its hinges and dies in the gutter.
The fact that it happened in the house is the teenagers saving grace, if it had of happened out on the street he would be facing a double murder rap .

Interested in reports the girl was ushered into the house by the killer. Two stab wounds right in the chest, no defensive wounds on the first bloke knifed,= smacks of an complete ambush in the dark.
The second bloke has gone to his assistance and copped it in the armpit- his hands are up somewhere. Hee has been in that much of a hurry to get out he has run straight through the screen door.
They deceased would have got the shock of their lives when they realised the cutlery was being wielded in what was a massive escalation from a drunken escapade amongst locals to lethal force.
Haven't heard the last of this one,,,,,
