Coincidence or not? The days between each clubs last premiership and the date of this years grand final.

Essendon 6966
Brisbane 5845
Collingwood 3284
Geelong 2919
Western Bulldogs 1093
Richmond 790
West Coast 365
GWS n/a

1093 is the only prime number. The highest prime number in the top 8 is 7 - the position the Bulldogs currently sit and also the position they won the 2016 Premiership.

eagles as defending champs have gone out in the semi finals 3 out of 3 times.

2007 when the Cats topped the ladder, eagles out in week 2 against the Pies.

In 1993 in their elimination final game, against a Victorian opponent, the Eagles kicked 17 goals 18 points. Tonight they kicked 17.14.

Each time as defending champs the Eagles have lost in the semis to a Victorian Opponent, and a Vic side won the flag that year.

I think these are bad omens for the Eagles. Not on tonights form though, they were brilliant!

Start engraving the premiership cup now with "Brisbane Lions". Previous year a non-Vic team (WC) defeated Collingwood by less than 2 goals with the last kick of the game. In 2002, a non-Vic team (BL) def Collingwood by less than 2 goals with the last kick of the game.

In the 1992 WAFL season Robert West was a leading player for West Perth (winning the Sandover Medal despite the Falcons finishing last) while Heath East was a leading player for their rivals East Perth.

Robert West played for West Perth, the West Coast Eagles and the Western Bulldogs, but when he went to South Australia he played for Port Adelaide, when he could have played for West Adelaide or the Woodville-West Torrens Eagles.

The Mayne chair.

Chris Mayne has become the first player to chair off two different 6 x All Australian's in milestone matches. Last night he chaired off Scott Pendlebury after his 300th whilst in rd 19 2016 he chaired off Matthew Pavlich in his 350th.
Champion Data are really going overboard in the stats they keep.

In 2012 the five bird teams filled the first five spots on the ladder - in order Hawthorn Hawks, Adelaide Crows, Sydney Swans, Collingwood Magpies and West Coast Eagles.

In 2019, the three feline teams filled the first three spots on the ladder - Geelong Cats, Brisbane Lions and Richmond Tigers. This is the first time to date that all three of Geelong, Richmond and Brisbane/Fitzroy Lions have made the finals in the same year.

Wow really? Thats amazing considering those 3 were in the comp for like nearly 90 years together. Well over 90 including the Brisbane Lions.
