Another Carlton 1995 & Geelong 2022 connection. :drunk:

The players who wore #2 had inverse careers.

Greg Williams started as a Cat then won a flag as a Blue; opposite experience of Zach Tuohy.

The 2022 GF was also a contest between Williams’s two previous clubs. He won a B&F and an AFLPA MVP as a Cat and a Brownlow as a Swan. Who would he have been barracking for?
Just spoke to GW (dealing with him on a legal matter) and I asked him who he barracked for in the GF, Swans or Cats. He said neither; he was happy with either team winning and went on to say the Cats win was amazing.

I didn't ask who he'd barrack for in a Blues v Cats or Swans GF, but I think we know the answer.

Sadly I’m not altogether sure Greg Williams would even know what day it is these days.

In 1993 West Perth played their final season at Leederville Oval ahead of moving to Joondalup in 1994, and were beaten by Claremont in the WAFL Grand Final. This year, West Perth have beaten Claremont in a WAFL Grand Final played at Leederville Oval.

Heres one for those beautiful Richmond supporters

1969 was certainly the year of the Tiger

Richmond Tigers win the VFL

Glenelg Tigers win the SANFL

Balmain Tigers win the Rugby League

So much so that Brady Bunch writers Sherwood and Elroy Schwartz wrote the episode “Tiger ! Tiger !” , which aired just four months after the Tiger triple.

True :D

AFTER St Kilda won the 66 flag a jumper was put on Tommy Bents statue.

BEFORE the 97 loss a St Kilda jumper was put on the statue and again prior to the 09 loss.

Early in the 2010 GF week a Collingwood scarf was cheekily put on Tommy before being replaced by a St Kilda jumper. The match was drawn.

The St Kilda jumper remained on for the replay week loss.

Another long range forecast - Carlton to be runners-up in 2061. Why? Because in both seasons that Halley's Comet was visible from Earth - 1910 and 1986 - the Blues lost the Grand Final.
