Doesn’t the AFL have an official procedure for delaying or ending matches played in storms?
Has it ever been used?

I can’t remember any matches played in thunderstorms, which would have to be a pretty big coincidence.
To have thousands of matches without lightning.

They definitely delayed a GWS-Sydney game in 2014 because of lightning & a thunderstorm at QT

All 3 Thursday night games played since the restart, a team has scored just 1 point in the 1st quarter.
Collingwood 4.1 - Richmond 0.1 (Round 2)
Richmond 0.1 - Hawthorn 5.3 (Round 3)
Sydney 0.1 - Bulldogs 3.2 (Round 4)

(Also, Richmond has scored 0.1 in the first quarter in its last 2 Thursday night games. West Coast should be looking forward to next week...)

Another almost one from 2007

In Round 7, Collingwood defeated Carlton 119-95
In Round 18, Collingwood defeated Carlton 120-96

In both games, there was a goal after the siren

In 2008, Carlton beat Collingwood 119-89
In that first 2007 game, Collingwood had been winning 119-89 until that goal after the siren
