I don't believe that is correct...Both Geelong’s and Melbourne’s last premierships were in 1963 and 1964 respectively.
In 1958 Collingwood knowingly defend their record of 4-peat by stopping Melbourne.
In 2018 Collingwood unknowingly defend their record of 4-peat by stopping Richmond.
??Port Adelaide has never played Fremantle
Melbourne had a 57 year premiership drought.
Drought was considered to be a curse, started by the sacking of Norm Smith, who died at the age of 57.
Melbourne broke the curse by scoring 9.3.57 in the final term.
I'm sure its been mentioned already, but Collingwood's September hoodoo still exists. Have not won a Grand Final in September since defeating in the Dees on 20 September 1958
The 1990 decider was played on October 6th (schedule pushed back courtesy of the draw and Replay in the Qualifying final between Collingwood and West Coast) and the 2010 GF Replay was on October 2nd.
