Do you actually think that this thread is extremelly bad taste and in a way is going to reflect badly on your Big footy members?

Of course it is bad taste and you won't get many arguments from us. Celebrating injuries is just plain wrong and is unacceptable. I don't worry about how it will reflect on our BF members. We're already hated and not much is going to change that - in fact, we like being hated. The Carlton Football Club in its glory days was hated and we take great satisfaction that the days of hating the Carlton Football Club are on their way back.

Having said that, my remarks were directed at a Fremantle supporter who was foolish enough to question our culture as a club and as supporters. Which I found ironic and incredibly foolish, seeing as though he supports Fremantle of all clubs.

I didnt say you were.

Why don't you acknowledge the Carlton supporters who have disagreed with the sentiments of the thread (including myself) rather than making sweeping assertions?

I achknowledge that there has been alot of your supporters doing this. But why would the mods lets a thread like this go on. It really does come across like you guys were hoping for injuries. There was another thread that has already been closed on the same topic.

A couple of idiots celebrating and hoping for injuries is such poor form and Id expect the mods to delete the posts as (unfortunately) it does reflect on the club these idiots support. We all have idiots that barrack for our team, its how they are dealt with the reflects on the club overall.

This thread "Amazing news" was always going to reflect bad on Carlton Big Footy board and the fact it hasnt been closed or deleted by now is an embarrassment.

Very. very bad taste.

Usually pretty good on the Carlton board of controlling this sort of garbage, this time, not so good.

Show some respect.

If we play as poorly as we did is the last half/quater yesterday it won't matter who plays for WC.

Havent you seen us play lately?

God awful stuff.

Your mids will run riot on our currently disorganised group giving your excellent forward line ample opportunity

I'll be there cheering but not with a great amount of confidence.

Bring on the beer!! :D

That is true, although Adelaide do have gameplan that really stangles the opposition, and thus makes them look pretty bad. Lots of chipping the ball around, over-posessing, and therefore mistakes are made.

Lots of space at Subiaco Oval, so i'm hoping for a good fast one-on-one game on Fridy night. Very happy that I will be heading over on Wednesday night.

I'll be sick if another Adelaide supporter tries to tell me that they have gone past their days of flooding. Watch yesterdays game and honestly tell me that they didn't flood our forward line for most of the first 3 quarters of the game. Noone can.

Exactly right. WCE know how to win without flooding so it will be a far more open game than yesterday. Looking forward to how we adjust to the change in style of the 2 clubs. Will be a real test.

How about freedom of speech.....whats wrong with discussing injuries and looking to next week's game? Are we all supposed to discuss morally right topics on here that conform to your standards? grow up.

I dont see anything wrong with discussing who's going to be out for the opposition team when we play them and Im sure all supporters of all clubs would be excited if judd, fev, stevens, murphy were injured when playing our team as you would have more chance of beating us......common discussion in the general public and media really:rolleyes:

so show some respect and grow a brain?;)

Definitely fortunate for us - but I wouldn't label injuries as "amazing news" (especially as I've been hobbling around all day after getting a badly corked thigh and a knock on my knee playing footy today. )

Lets hope Kerr ropes himself as well would make the task much more easier.:thumbsu:

Average thread.

Agreed.

Wow.

It would be much more likely that Kerr will rope someone else and end up in jail. Lets hope for that because it keeps him out for longer.
This thread is indicative of an acceptance of mediocrity. Obviously a culture problem.

Ingrained one would think.

Poor form, this thread. Would rather take them at full strength to show that we don't need to rely on injury to key players to win games.

And you think its just me... and you tell me to grow up!

Amazing news... reflect really good news, and its about injuries to footballers.

Show some respect.

So Im supposed to show respect and encourage injuries??? get excited by them???

Ignorant at best

I dont care what you think really but its discussed in the media all the time so I dont see why its such a bad thing to talk about on here.....

Injuries are common all the time in football and I personally dont hope for it but it happens and when it does you want to know who's injured especially if your playing them next week....

all this poor form, close thread rubbish geez wake up

Id love to see your reaction if this was a thread running live during a Carlton game about Carlton injuries and was classed as Amazing news!

Of course this thread is in bad taste and I don't agree with the original poster.

However, you come across as a total sook, who gives a toss what some random says on an internet forum? Why do you honestly care?

Show some respect.
The majority of posters in this thread have shown respect.

I am glad the thread was allowed to go on, because I and others have been able to express our dissatisfaction with the sentiments expressed by certain posters.

You have made your point (repeatedly), now move on.
