So apparently the vice mayor of Charlottesville who is spearheading the drive to get the Robert E Lee statue removed, Wes Bellamy, isn't the most savoury individual.. according to the Washington Post (see link). And the guy who called him out on it (bringing attention to his racist and sexist tweets) is the leader (crazy racist himself) of the white nationalist group trying to save it.
