OK, I don't know how reliable this one is, but eveyone else seems to be posting them, so here I go:

Clive Waterhouse to Port;
Barnarby French (plus draft pick) to Hawthorn;
Daniel Chick to Freo.

Heard this from a mate in Melbourne. As I said, don't know how relaible this is.

I'd only take Barnaby French and Port's first round pick for Chick.

French is about the fourth preffered ruckman at the Power and in my opinion both Campbell and Loats will be better players than him so I'd stay away from him.

Don't think Port need another marking forward though - not enough room on that half forward line for Tredrea, C Cornes and Clive Waterboy. Unless they want to try and turn Cornes into a full forward.

I definitely agree with the fact that Clive is not a great option for you guys. As Mocca has pointed out, you already have Chad Cornes and Tredrea up forward and definitely don't need another centre-half forward type player.

But if this rumour is true, I have to say that French for Chick certainly doesn't favour the Hawks?

Freo are getting the best deal out of the three clubs by a long way.

Waterhouse would return home to Adelaide where he would play up forward, releasing Chad Cornes to play as a CHB.

The French trade would be at least a 3rd round pick - The Hawks would have no bargining power, due to the fact Chick wants to leave.

Freo are getting the best deal out of the three clubs by a long way.

Under the current game plan, both Cornes and Tredrea are often pushing upfield (to the wings and beyond) leaving a resting ruckman and/or an on baller as the targets up forward. Port supporters have been talking quite a bit about the need for a third forward, so Clive would be an option. This is a couple of times a Clive back to Port rumour has surfaced, maybe there's smoke, maybe there's a bit of educated guesswork. I'd be guessing Freo need to loosen up their salary cap a bit and offloading Clive would help. But he doesn't have the currency he had a couple of years ago.

In this though, people have been talking about needing a player who is a reliable kick on goal and an ok marker, as opposed to another good mark with dubious kicking.

5th pick will only be traded if it snares fremantle headland or goes to snaring headland.

If it was a straight swap, French for Chick I would tell you where to go. Chick is not worth as much as you Hawthorn fans think he is. A 27 year old midfielder who has just had a shocking season and will only get worse. You would have to throw us your 1st round pick, not the other way around.

French is the #2 Ruckman at Port, Port have 5 ruckmen better than Campbell and Loats.
